Stephen my sister has recently been on holiday to the Galapagos Island with her in-laws side of the family. I've seen loads of photos of strange birds and animals.
I've been watching an old Miss Marple film and tomorrow I'll start my packing. I've got to go to work on Monday :-P

It sounds like George has been busy with his lady friends, and Stephen has been giving the nurses a wink with his good eye.
It's nice to hear that George is feeling better, and that Stephens eye is improving.

Marilyn make sure you close the blinds in the bathroom, Stephen can still see you, even from up in Scotland. He gets his binoculars out, every time you close the bathroom door. I know coz I have seen the sun reflecting off of them from here. I thought at one time that it could have been either of our other two gents on here, but Stevey has told us many a time that he's on look out duty, but I wasn't sure what he was looking for till recently. ;-) ;-) ;-)

We saw our great grandaughter for the third time since her birth today. I know it's a long time between visits, but her mummy is quite busy, and we don't like to intrude whilst she is getting herself into a routine with baby.
We also got to see baby Lilly, and her big brother and sister today. The eldest two idolise her,and are very good with her.
I have to admit it was nice to see her dressed properly for the colder weather,and when we went to the shops with them, she had a lovely warm coat and blanket wrapped round her. There are still so many young mums taking young babies out without a coat and blanket, just because the mum doesn't feel the chill in the air, so baby lays in the pram and has to suffer the cold, bless them.

George what date in December my sister is 18th and my friend 28 and my Granddaughters OH is on Christmas day 25th.

Mo it is nice to know you saw the Grandchildren. I dont see all mine every month even. I see four at Christmas, the others I see when I go to my
daughter.during the year.

I watched SCD tonight Marilyn. I wonder who will be voted off tomorrow ?,

I saw some of Big Brother this afternoon I dont know why people like that. they are real show offs and their clothes hardly cover their bodies.
still I suppose it is a good thing we dont all like the same thing.lots of peo-ple watch it.

Hello all, if you are still here.

I came back from the Chatham Islands 3 days ago, spent most of the next day napping on the sofa! Lots of fresh (very) air and walking over there. I have been busy putting my photos onto the computer and I have to downsize the best so they dont take too long to load onto my blog. It will take ages to put them all on, or at least a selection of them. My avatar is of their forget-me-not.

This kind of weather is a real pain in the posterior, never know what it's going to be one day to the next. I've had to put the Central Heating on at times just to get rid of the damp in the atmosphere in the house. We don't usually have it on until it's at least -10C ROFL :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-|

Thermal Long Johns and vests, thick wooly trousers, two jumpers and a Polo Neck sweater, hat and gloves, two pair of socks and fur lined boots.
Wear that lot in the house and you will cut your heating bills dramatically. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

I finished up doing some paperwork yesterday. I'm sure the Tax man OWES ME some money.......just need to wait and see now :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

Dog needs taking for a walk
Must try to get some gardening done today before the recycling comes tomorrow
The party was a lovely gathering of the clans yesterday

Sad to say that my parents are being assesssed for nursing home care. Dad has kidney failure and Mum cannot look after herself so it is inevitable

Morning all
Stephen wearing all those clothes to keep warm. think the heating should go on instead. think of all that washing your have to do when you take that lot off. washing powder. electric etc. unless you do them in a dolly tub and dont heat the water LOL.

It is a bright day here so far, but we expect rain this afternoon. we did get that during the night.
now is the time to get the washing ready using rain water.

I am going to take a shower now. how I long for a bath but cannot get into or out of the bath. even though it is a low bath. my knees will not work.

Sorry to read about your Mum and Dad.
In some ways a good Nursing Home will give YOU peace of mind knowing that they are being cared for.
Hopefully they will get a double room and still be together.
A well run Home can give them a new lease of life. Loads of company and activities.
Make sure you check the suitability of the Homes being suggested. The Care Commission have reoprts on all Nursing Homes......contact them for information. There should be one fairly local to you.

Sorry to hear about your parents Linda, Stephen has already said what I was going to say. It'll give you peace of mind to know that someone will be with them all the time. I really hope they can get a double room or at least be in the same place.
