Wow Dermot I could actually read that without too much effort!!
Hubby still poorly, no energy and slept a lot through the day, as the coughing is keeping him awake at night.
Managed to cut back more shrubs in the garden.
Been doing some research.

"John said that he received a pay-rise today which pleased him greatly. To celebrate, he spent £25.10 for a pair of gloves for his beloved.
Unfortunately, there were too small & he will have to exchange them on Monday afternoon. He needs the receipt as proof of purchase".
For a bit of fun, read the above simple item to any younger family member & then ask them to repeat it as accurately as possible. Sounds easy - but it is not so. This just tests the youngster's power of listening & memory retention - which the experts say is not too good these days.

Morning All !
Hope all are well . :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
Linda, Hubby needs a couple of days off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dermot.....Listening ! I was very firm with my children about listening. I would put the message to them that perhaps one day when they were told information someones live could depend on getting it right My daughter still goes on about how I stopped her going to a Guide Weekend Camp because she had got information wrong. And I now hear her saying things to her own children that I said to her. So my hard work must have sunk in.
Hoping for good weather today. I feel up to cutting the grass around my property. Probably wont do a very good job but I'll give it a go
;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Have a good day ya all !
Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Morning everyone Well Hubby is on his way to the airport. He is just a little anxious. Not sure what to expect as he has worked there for nearly 40 years. He knows there will be a presentation, top bosses are rumoured to be coming. I asked if it might be the Queen LOL. Definately the end of an era. Washing is on. the weather is forecast for good. Hot and sunny here up to 29C. I have bulbs to plant and pansies to get my winter flowers under way, but the geraniums are still going strong. So I will leave them in place for a while.
Have a lovely day everyone

I must have done an excellent job of cutting the grass......a bus load of tourists stopped and asked if they could play bowls ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
The smell of fresh cut grass is magic :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Evening everyone Still very warm here. Managed to fill about 9 pots with bulbs and topped off with pansies. I also repotted a dicentra(Bleeding Heart) and an azelia in new compost to give them a chance through the winter.
The washing is dry waiting to be ironed, maybe later.
I did a spring clean in the lounge and moved all the furniture round, hubby will think he is in a different house eh?
He's on his way home, but I guess the traffic is heavy with everyone going away while the weather is good.
Linda :-) <3

Useless Information but worth a wee laugh
SPORRAN (Gaelic for nut pouch). Most Scotsmen keep money in their sporran because if robbed at least they enjoy the experience.!!!!!!!!!!!
KILT If a Highlander was to take this off you'd be shocked! It would stretch twenty four feet ... the kilt that is !!!!!!!!!!

Morning All !
Jean, Up and about early as usual. Nice breakfast to give me a kick start. My eyes are coming along slowly. Still use the dark glasses a lot. Back to hospital next Friday. Very little site in my right eye, but I expected that as the years have gone on. Thinking of a way to strap a pair of binoculars to my head. ROFL ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Marilyn, Your Gransdson and the Marines. Will send an email. Too much info for on here. The first step though would be to get him to join a Marine Cadet Detachment of the Sea Cadets. There will be one near where he lives, I'm sure. That's how I started my lad of at the age of 12.
It's raining cats and dogs here. Glad I cut the grass yesterday :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P
Have a good day ya all !
Keep safe , keep well , keep smiling. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Morning all, it's not raining here............ yet!! It's warm but very dull and it looks like the rain is on it's way.
Guess who I'm sitting here waiting for................ The Plumber!!!
Rita sent me an email to say she's having trouble getting on here again. Maybe her son will be over at the weekend to help her sort it out again.
Edit: Lovely breakfast Jean.
Stephen, I haven't read all that tree yet but you're very lucky that someone has already done so much work on that line............... saves you a lot of work.
