Shelly we can't get bright green for Rita, you know that lime green is Marilyn's favourite colour. How about mauve for Rita and we'll get her a nice mauve rinse for her hair as well?
We'll get silver ones for Linda and she'll be able to wear them for the wedding afterwards.

Thanks and no thanks Shelly, don't want baby blue, I want Purple leggings lol
And sorry, you are wrong, I wouldn't have tossed the poor old chap overboard, I think it was heartless to have him cremated in a foreign country and sent home in a package. There's practical and there's heartless. There might have been friends or someone who would have wanted to see the old man once more before a send off, instead of getting a packet of ashes. What a dreadful shock for the partner of the old lady, but a quick and hopefully painless death for the man, bit like my Mum. She was getting ready to go to the day centre, her weekly trip, so had the key in the door ready to leave (meant no one could get in cos she had it locked) but was found by the driver who came to pick her up for the lunch, and by the time neighbours had broken the window and got in and ambulance men arrived, they cut her clothes off and revived her but lost her again. My two brothers had arrived too so saw Mum like that, she would have hated it, and I wish really the driver had been a bit later so Mum didn't have to go through that indignity. She was obviously feeling well enough to the last tho, her lipstick close by as tho she was finishing getting ready to go out and enjoy the company, before her third heart attack killed her.

Morning !
Well just as well you lot did not find the party last night as the meal 4 of us had fillet steak and it was bloody tough as old boots.. So what did I do ?......complained , (to the manager) now he wanted to replace the steak but we had gone off of it by then I told him to report it to head office as it was poor quality beef. This was a well known chain We had the bill reduced of the steaks, at least the manager did that for us, but was a shame as it was my Dads 95th but we carried on regardless, we had balloons tied to his chair and he was surrounded by his family, and had 5 bottles of whiskey !!as presents ..LOL So wont be going there again...
So I guess as we left him at home later.... I'm sure he tucked into them bottles ..!
After wards we went home to one of my sisters and had a few drinkies now that you lot could have joined in, all colours would have blended in (after a few drinks) ..LOL So I got a headache now, with too much drinking and singing .
Dont know what to do today, think I'll chill out...

Morning everyone. I had a problem getting in today, GR were busy doing something to the site.
Thanks for the photos Marilyn, looks like you all had a good time (apart from the steak). Your dad looks much younger than 95, I think he could pass for early 70s, he looks really well. One of my uncles looked like that when he was in his nineties, and he drank whiskey every night...........I wish I liked whiskey!!
Was that the boat you were on?
Shelly, you might be able to get some sparkly purple leggings for Liz. Mind you, you might have to go to a dance shop to get them.

Hi everyone. Marilyn are you sure your dad is 95. He's not telling you porkies is he. Has he had a face lift. Oh my goodness,he looks soooo good for his age. Thank you for the pics,I enjoyed looking at them. Ah Liz,what a shame for your poor mum. We as mums, like to keep a bit off dignity where our kids are concerned. But it must have been such a shock for you all as well. Mum sounds like she was a lady right to the last. What a shame about your steak last night Marilyn. Just a thought, have you checked that dad is sober today, after all five bottles off whiskey could give him a bad hangover. lol Pauline, many years ago,I had a pair off Silver leggings. I thought I was the bees knees. I also was the proud owner off bright pink and yellow trousers. the type that had the strap under the foot. Both got topped off with tops off the same colour. I believe that was way back in the 1980's,when shoulder pads were in as well. Hi Rita, Shelly,Linda,Yvonne,Lady and anyone I may have forgotten, please forgive me.

well here I am there is you.
Marilyn thank you for the photos they are very good I was going to say the same your Dad looks so young.are you sure that isnt the toy boy you picked out for me > then changed your mind ?
The colours in the photos are good often you get a hush colours but these look so natural.
My sister phned to say she feel a bit better today. I am pleased she is feeling better as I feel guilty not being able to get over to help her.
The nurse came and did the blood she took three files as she said they need it all for the tests. she said it had not been put down I was on regular warfrin. I said perhaps that is why I am having so many problems rotten blood. through the warfarin..
I needed a perscription to go to the doctors as I am running out of steriods and eye drops so I had asked our estate manager she said I am not allowed to take the percsription to the doctor's it is not in my regulations I said like not opening the door for Carole who got locked out ? and had to go by car to collect a spare set. ? she said if I do it for one lot l have to do it for others.I asked what happens if I get locked out then ? she told me I have to ask a neighbour to pull the cord and wait for a contractor to arrive to open the door for me (the cord is one we use for hospital or fire and police ) so I will ring her bell and get her to pull the cord if I get locked out ) she lives in the block of four i am in. I told her she is being paid by us not head office and her free flat is paid for by us not head office . now I got worked up about it and have a head ache.. she is doing her laundry today in her working time I wonder if I should complain.

Hi Everyone,
Dad is fine today .....he did have a few glasses before he went to bed because we told him to ..LOL
Well Rita I don't think I would put up with that manger of yours, you have to do something about her. What does her contract actually say ? Do you know? Have you got a copy of management terms & condition with the owners ?
I strongly advise you to get it and read it through, I think that way you would have a good case to complain if she is not doing what she is paid to do. My goodness you pay enough for these private flats .....my mother in law was in one and her manager was Part-time and lived in one of the flats, but he was excellent and did all sorts of jobs for the residents.
I bought new glasses today.......buy one get one free !... but got to wait 2 weeks for them.
Off now to make some tea.

Hi Marilyn. We have all nagged at poor Rita, about that bl**dy estate manager,or whatever she chooses to call herself. I'm afraid if she was my mum,I would down the neck off the powers that be,about her lack off care for her residents. It makes my blood boil, that this woman is allowed to get away with what she does. I just wonder what she is actually being paid for,as she does nothing for the people who live under her care. Rita, does any resident in your complex have a care manager. If they do could they inquire as to what the estate manager,is supposed to be doing for her weekly wage.
