I did many things while away I went to view the Indian Temple Shree Sanatan Hindu Mandir in Wembley the only non asians my sister and I and everyone was so kind to us.It is such a big temple as well it was like walking into a fairy tale castle.

I wanted to go to The Ragged School in London the otherside of the river but they only opened two days a week and we had planned other things so I will go next time. what is the Ragged school ?it was started by Dr Bernado for poor children. they have a musum there and in the room above is a replica of the school room.

You seem to have done lots of things while you were away. I used to hear my mam talk about people who were in the ragged school but I never knew what it was.

Hope you enjoy the school fete Marilyn, I used to like going to those. I used to spend a fortune, but it's for a good cause.

Mo, I didn't catch the sun yesterday because I keep covered up when I'm working in the garden. If I don't cover up I get all scratches off the bushes and thorns. I have to wear a cap as well or I get spiders, caterpillars and God knows what in my hair.

Yvonne that sounds like a typical childhood holiday, stuck in a caravan watching the rain through the window. My great, great grandfather came from Margate but I've never been there myself.

I hope Elizabeth isn't going to try to cook us again today, although it looks like the weather will do that.

No Mum was only 38 when my brother was born. She's 82 now. I on the other hand am creeping towards being an OAP but not there yet!!!

Been for my walk. Did a route I regularly did until a year ago and managed it in 36mins. Have done it in 30mins but that wasn't too bad. Now you must all nag me to keep it up now I'm starting.

Had another card come in the post today, hiddeen it as it is my anniversary on Wed. Will hubby get a card.................. mmmmm maybe not.

My word you lot have been busy gassing,it took me ages to catch up.

Eastbourne and Bournemouth,are what I definately call,elderly holiday places. Brighton, I just don't like. Sorry Shelly.
A place to go,if you just want to sit on the beach,is Camber Sands. Nothing there but beautiful sand ,sea ,and nout else.
But then Rye is not far from there,and now that is really oldie worldy.

It's the Biggin Hill Air Show this weekend. When we have been in the past,
it has always been windy and overcast. This year, because we decided not to go,it is going to be glorious weather. Oh well, never mind.

Marilyn, I think we should all go to Brighton,and look on the beach for a bright red lobster, ( Shelly )

Rita, £3.15 shillings for a grave. My god,that was a fortune way back then,but I dread to think how much it would cost now.
I wonder if your dad realised,just how much information he was leaving for you to find. Or if he actually did it on purpose,knowing that your curiosity
would get the better off you in the end.
Did you show a lot of interest in the past when you were a child.

Hi everyone

been a scorcher today, wish it would cool down I'm not good in the heat.

went out to lunch today FIL's birthday, he's 81. OH, FIL and son had a carvery but I had a chicken salad, too hot for roast dinner!!!

Mo there wasn't anything at Seasalter when I went all those years ago lol

We are going away in 3 weeks to USA and Canada, iooking forward to it, not had holiday for 2 years.
