Anyone for a drink,it's been a very dry day, we have not had a cuppa since 11.04 this morning,when Marilyn made one for us.

Rita, what plants did you get. Did you go to a heavy plant hire shop to buy them. LOL

Little has gone home
Hubby and I just had Peppered Steak for dinner, no dessert, but we shared a nice bottle of slightly fizzy white wine. A gift from Germany from friends. Not too much to clear up. Hubby is outside reading now.

He brought me a huge bouquet of flowers tonight and even got a card !!! Full marks(actually thats where he shopped) The flowers are stocks and they smell lovely.

We had 8 cards and 2 messges so far. Not too bad for 37 years together eh.

Must ring my cousin tonight, so won't be around for a while we always have a good old natter.

I have some old shillings for the meter if that is any good to you.
I think the heat has affected some of the computer systems dont ask me why? but I have heard several people say they were having computer. trouble. Elizabeth it drives me up the wall with all these doctors telling me something different.

when was your anniversary then ? 37 years I never knew .congratulations to you both.

Mo you are a cheeky little devil I brought some chyrysanthemums (I hope I have spelt that right ?) White , Bronze and Deep red and a pinky also a couple of yellow Daisies. everyone around here seem to have Busy lizzies and Geriums so i thought I would be different.

I saw out local papershop who,s windows had been full of England flags. hats scarves and mugs and footballs have cleared there windows out. not suprised .
The flags can be used for St Georges Day Lol.
I saw in a newspaper that the team had been celebrating after they lost the match shows you what they are like over paid. They said they were tired isnt that sad ?. good job our soliders in Afganistan dont put up a show like they did. and they must be tired and under paid.

Thank you for telling me Marilyn so I take it things are now OK again.
It is a worry when you wait for results. I dont know when I have to have my next scan done they said they would get me and appointment and send for me. then I have to see the cancer specilist for the results.so far I have been lucky .but you can never tell.

old feather brain here forgot,sorry about that love.

Rita, I like the mums flowers,but I wont plant them as every time I have done so in the past,we have moved shortly afterwards. And I don't want to move again in a hurry.

What a shame they got rid of the slot meters,for gas and electric. But they were such a temptation for burglars weren't they. But I used to like getting my rebate from them,it always came in handy when the children were small.
My son has got a key meter for both power supplies.

It looks like we are in for another scorching day here tommorrow. I have just watched the forecast and its supposed to be up to about 30, oh lord I am going to roast again.

pauline i was at work this afther noon im at work all day tomorrow
and also have to pick grand kids up from school little legs has got hospital in the after noon this time with his toe my daughter hand her sister are takeing him that why i have to pick kids up

We've had someone here tonight about getting extra loft insulation in. Did you know it's supposed to be 10.6 inches deep now?

It was very strange because when he saw my son he said we might not have to pay for the insulation. He's going to check with his boss and get back to me tomorrow.

I was going to get a few quotes in but I don't need to bother if it's free - can't really ask for anything cheaper than that can you?
