Hi Yvonne I hope you really enjoy your holiday you have waited a while for it.

Well I got some of the ironing done.............. too hot really and I thnk i must have done some of Paulines as the pile doesn't look any smaller.

Cut back a few more plants, those going to seed. Did some watering.

Read my book and dropped off to sleep.

Then had unexpected visitors............ a little one now nearly 6 and her Mum, drooped an older child in the next road for a party and popped in on the off chance. They had a drink and a bit of a chat.

Quiet evening and probably an early night again.

Hope you are keeping well. it is very hot and humid I felt quiet giddy during the afternoon the heat always affects me that way I think it is my blood pressure that does it connects to the heatwave.
I have my fan going as well but it only helps a little . still every little helps.

My nephew comes over from Arlington next friday my sister said he never comes friday only saturday he surprised us all by saying he was arriving on Friday . at Heathrow. he and my sister are going to italy for three days to visit my sisters sons grave. they go everyear , the people in Italy keep the Grave in good condtion then he comes back for ten days before flying home to USA,
Yvonne I hope you have a lovely time in USA and Canada. I am sure the holiday will go you good.
Marilyn I am looking forward to seeing if your father is related to Bruce.

got 4 nights in New York then 4 nights San Francisco and 3 nights Toronto, we lose a couple of days cos of flying (hope it wont make my arms ache lol)
been to New York before and Florida

Son has been to San Francisco with his school, thats why we've not had holiday in a while to pay for his trip

Morning all, you 2 are up early for a Sunday.

It doesn't seem that hot here today, it was mad hot yesterday but it rained last night and that seems to have cooled it down a bit.

I'll have to go and put the washing on now but I'll be back later.


Edit: I would have been shocked Mo if you'd been here first and made a cuppa......lol

I feel lazy this morning so I am not going to rush around I am going to take a gentle outlook on today finish my tea then take a shower before going outside and watering my few plants.

All up early on this beautiful morning. We need rain in the south Pauline so your overnight stuff would be very welcome.
Have watered the pots in the front porch while it is still cool and shaded. Did all the back garden pots yesterday evening.
Have done my walk.................. cut 2 mins off yesterdays time. So pleased with that. Have to go early or it would be too hot.

Will check the 1911 when I have had a shower, probably get hot again

I am going to have my dinner soon so I am ready for the big finds Lol. it is still warm but I dont think it is as bad as it was yesterday, still maybe this afternoon it will get hotter. I would hate to play tennis in this heat at Wimbledon or even sit and watch. the cream will go off on my strawberrys. there.

Hi All

Did get a few of my more obscure 1911 census before I had a couple of phone calls.
First my sister just for a general chat.

Then my cousin in Canada................. bad news unfortunately. Her brother my cousin, the 4th child in the family. Passed away suddenly last night in Toronto. He was only 53 and it was a heart attack. It was not the one we thought would be taken next. His Dad 82 has kidney failure and now weighs about 4 stone and the younger cousin is the one who has had treatment for jaw cancer.

Oh dear and I have to tell my husband when he gets in. We were both very fond of him even if we didn't get together very often
