Hi Everyone Guess it was really cold at 5:00 this morning as hubby took a long time to clear the car. It is quite bright now. Keeping my fingers crossed for the next few days that the weather gets better and not worse. Be back later if I have anything interesting to say

Hi everybody.
We've got more snow, it's about 5" deep now.
As usual, everything's come to a standstill........the special bus has been taken off because the snow is too deep. My son's stuck at home again and he's not happy about it.
I went outside at 5am and spent and hour and a half clearing snow away so I'd be able to push his wheelchair down to the road. At 8am the day centre rang and said the roads were too bad, so they couldn't send the bus out.
I hope it's not going to be like last year.

Rita, if the weather is OK where you are it would be a good idea to get all your shopping in while you've got the chance, just in case this snow comes down your way.
Those dollar signs on my little face are supposed to be curls Rita and the asterisks are false eyelashes, Marilyn's little man has glasses on................lol
Marilyn, what happened to your little man? Did he lose his glasses and get lost?
Err excuse me Shelly, my little face didn't have a face lift, she's just had her hair done.
Linda, are you going to do a little party on Monday for the little girl?
Stephen you cheapskate, how can we all share one slice of toast?
Forgot to say, Maddie, after you sent your wedding photo I could see the only difference in your hubby (when he was young) and your son is the colour of their hair.
Strange how I didn't see that on the anniversary photo.
And Linda's oldest daughter is her double as well.........just different colour hair.
Still waiting for Mo's wedding photos, and Yvonne's.

Pauline on our news it said the Amercian had laughed their heads off about our coming to a stand still at the first of heavy snow. so the councils said they would have the last laugh as they had doubled their orders of sand/salt for the roads. for this years and were well prepared.so people could get to and from work.
so I suppose the Americans will still be able to have a laugh at our expense . it is bitterl cold here but no snow as yet.

Hi ya all. Just going into my american slang for Marilyn's sake. You must be so used to it now Maz.
Dermot, we are so skint, we are now into bartering for our grub. You can get loads of specials, in the dump bins behind the big supermarkets. If you scrape the mould of the bread, and wash the vegetables you are fine. We waste so much food in this country, and yet the homeless are not only out on the streets in all weathers, they are in some circumstances starving.
Pauline I am going to my daughters tommorrow, in hopes that she will sort the photo out for me. What a shame that Brents transport could not get through. And you must have been really cheesed of with having cleared the path, only to find you would not need to use it. But at least it's clear for the time being. We only had a slight dusting of snow this morning, it did not lay, thank goodness. But it is bitterly cold outside. We went to get a few emergency bits of shopping this morning, just in case we do get snowed in. I think most of the people from Kent had the same idea, it was packed in the supermarket, with people having bought shopping trolley's fully laden,to the check out. I am definately NOT going out tommorrow, I will stay home in the warm.

Mo and Rita, good job you got your shopping in today because I don't think this white stuff's going away.
Maddie, the sea front is at it's best in this weather, the waves crack against the seawall and splash about 30ft into the air. It's brilliant to see, but so bitterly cold that I feel my ears are going to crack and fall off.

Marilyn, if you click on your name above your post you'll see that you've got your other man back. Don't know how he got there, maybe he just couldn't stand being away from you. He must have beaten up your new man and left him for dead.
You'll have to do the same thing again that you did yesterday. Go into your account and delete the old man and replace him with the new one (a toy-boy if you want). Don't forget to save the changes and sign out.............then sign back in after a couple of minutes.

Hello everyone
Cor blimey, it's a bit chilly here, no snow yet!
the horse has got her thick pj's on tonight so she'll be nice and cosy
son is having a driving lesson at the moment so we'll have our dinner when he gets home
At lunchtime a lot of the kids at school were moaning about cold hands, when I asked them about gloves, they say they haven't got any. You'd think their parents would make sure they had things like that, some even come to school without a coat!

Yvonne,
Horses.....I love them.....don't have one.....only ridden a few times.
Have been a Fence Judge a couple of times at Cross Country Events. What courage to take those big beasts over them bloody big fences.
I had a lot of horses in the field next to a house I had in the country. My grandchildren loved it and missed them when I sold the house It's sheep and cows I have now. Don't fancy trying to put a saddle on them.
Been to a couple of events at the Scottish National Equestrian Centre. At one event they had a 'Horse Whisperer'......Amazing
The Mark Phillips Centre at the Gleneagles Hotel is pretty good for a family day out. They have good trekking paths through the nearby hills.
Bet you manage the horses 'neigh' bother , Yvonne.

Hi Everyone Well had a friend came for hot chocolate this afternoon and a chat. Then our youngest came and picked up her husband from work so he could have his own car back for the weekend as hubby is now off for 4 days and should have a loan car on Monday to get the Jag fixed. Thank goodness he had the SIL 's car for the last few days . He wouldn't have seen through the screen with no heater fan and therefore a fogged screen. So we had a meal together tonight and they have just left after watching a film together. Leonardo de Caprio in Shutter Island, very good. I even stayed awake .
Yvonne I have had children turn up with no coat................... because they come by car it is assumed they won't need one. Forgetting the fact that I walk everywhere therefore so do the children. No hats or gloves too. Infact little came on Monday with no gloves and only doodles on her feet. But they were back in her bag on tuesday.
Catch you all in the morning.
Marilyn I hope you will not suffer sunstroke. And don't forget you do have to come back sometime. How much longer do you have.
Linda :o) XxX

Half the beauty of the world would vanish with the absence of dust. For example, without dust, the sky would appear absolutely black.
So, please, desist from hoovering. I have!
