Morning all and evening Kim,
Quite bright this morning but last night the wind came up late and it was raining to so lashing on the windows.
It's one of those days where it is bright with a little sun out the back and grey in the front with a tiny bit of blue showing through.
I forgot to shut the big chickens in last night so this morning bright and early they were out in their run eating the grass. Good job we did'nt get a visit from foxy!! then I would have been upset as I would have know it ws my fault.

Morning my lovelies, Evening Kim,
Very bright here, haven't been out yet so don't know how cold it is. Ros just popped out to the bin and said it's VERY COLD. !!!
Yes good old West Ham 3rd in the Premiership. Man. United V Southampton tonight so Tony and I will be off out to the cheap Pub.
Carolyn goes off to Tenerife on Friday till February/March. We will stay in touch via email or SKYPE. So the girls are out today, for their last SHOPPING TRIP.
Mel it must be great for Mr. Mel to get into his workshop and make all these different things. I loved woodwork as a teen, but with no space for a workshop it died a death. How lovely to have a DEER jump into the garden, and walk around the orchard. Are there any apples still lying around ??? SMACKED legs for you, leaving the big girls out last night ;-) ;-) ;-) It would not have been good if Mr. FOXY had called :-( :-( :-(
I've been told (ORDERED) not to touch the outside lights until Madam is home with me to hold the steps. I bet she won't let me do it anyway :-P :-P :-P
Off for a coffee, see you later.

Morning All Well afternoon I see now.Where did the morning go !.
I think I would like Fleur to win especially after last nights performance. That was just brilliant.I'm glad Foggy won in the Jungle,he was desperate to win bless him.
Well all the ironing is done and a few pressies wrapped.I watched The Unforgiven (the 3 programmes ) while I ironed .I don't know how I missed that when it was on TV.It was very good. Now I am popping down to Fitz's to get my clothes. Yes Frank you watch yourself where ladders are concerned .You know how accident prone you are ;-) ;-).
Mel I would watch out and make sure OH doesn't sneak some of his things up into your shed.Sounds like he is running out of space in his !!!!
I think I have 250 lights for my tree.400 is a lot Gill.I bet your tree looks so pretty :-D I will ask Fitz how many lights that have on their tree this year.I think they have 2 trees again this year.I better get off down there now as I know he is going out .So BBL

Afternoon All,
Freezing here too, but at least no sleet/rain like yesterday. MADAM is quite right Frank.......we've heard about your aerobatics and A over T antics with steps before, so you should 'do as you are told' as mum would say!! :-) :-) :-| My word Ros has been busy getting the tree all decorated........I'm making a start this afternoon with hoovering the settees and under them, then OH can put the tree up ready for me to make a start. :-)
Mel, what a nice surprise to see the deer like that. Yes your hubby is spreading his stuff around by the sound of it........he needs to use those tools to put himself more shelves up. lol. Here it's me that is guilty of using OH's bookshelves for some of my beads and I have even encroached on his wardrobe space with a few clothes. I do find his books and cds among mine at times though.
What a shame about your car mirror being broken. I remember mine being snapped off by a lorry while I was parked. Usually they fold in when you lock it, so I was lucky they weren't folded in as he may have scraped all the side as well if they had been, just like you say.
Well what a palaver to send these shoes back. With the post costing so much I am going to return them by courier which insures them as well. Now I have to go online to sort that out and pay for it. I mustn't forget to order the bigger ones for him! :-S
I was disappointed to lose Pixie in Strictly......she was robbed!! Glad we still have Jake though, no airs or graces, a nice man and brilliant in the Charleston!! I'm looking forward to Kirstie's Homemade Christmas tonight.
Better sort these shoes now and then back to making my candle holder later.

Oh came back from our little man and said the cover for the mirror was about £7 and the mirror was £77!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He told oh to have a look online which he did when he got back. Much cheaper and oh has ordered one. It sounds like it is a heated mirror which I did'nt know.
Thanks for your card Frank which arrived whilst we were having lunch. A nice festive one in my favorite Christmas colours red and green.

Ann I always find it a right faff sending things back.Luckily most of the time it is free .It's trying to get things back into the right packing again that can be a bit tricky especially if I have cut the original package open in the wrong way :-S.Then out comes the duct tape .Hope the next pair of shoes are the right size for OH .
Frank ,your tree looks as splendid as ever.I really could do with a lesson in decorating Xmas Trees.Fitz's big tree isn't finished being decorated yet.He is just in charge of putting the lights on and then Georgette decorates. She won't let anyone else put anything on it.The tree reaches the balcony bannisters,so it must be about 10ft.I will take a pic of it once it is all done. Cup of tea time I think.

Yikes Mel that is a lot of money. But I suppose if it is a heated one it's going to be a fair bit.Good job you have managed to find a cheaper one.
Thanks Frank for your card :-D..Still haven't received yours Mel.Maybe tomorrow . I have just hung the Wreath outside the front door and switched on the lights on the little box trees.I need to set them to stay on and not twinkle but it is freezing so I will sort that out tomorrow. The Curtains will be fitted about 9.30 in the morning and also the ensuite blind(I forgot all about that one).I just hope I have chosen the right material for the curtains !!!.No turning back now.It will be so nice not to have to creep around hunched over getting dressed and undressed just in case anyone can see.It would only be next door neighbours if they were down their garden and happen to look up.They would get shock then lol
My Nieces cat Chewy has had to be put to sleep today. He was 23 !!!.Her children don't know yet as they are at my Sisters.

Just had our cuppa and a choc cake.
Been outside most of the afternoon in the shed doing wreaths. Had to clean the hog feeding ark out too as it was wet because of the rain and the bedroom bit was soaking but I think that was wee and poo.
all nice and clean now until tomorrow. They must have tried to take the stripped newspaper out of the new boxes as it was hanging out the hole this morning.

Evening all,
Cor it's been chilly today ,yesterday we went with the little ones to see Santa , it was so lovely ,i have never seen so many christmas trees all decorated , there were all sorts of moving animals too but out side was just lovely , all the trees had lights all the way up the trunks and into the branches and there was a huge tree all lit up in red with large white snow flakes hanging in the branches ,i did take some photo's but because it was so dark they don't really show it at it's best .
Frank your tree looks lovely Ros has done a good job of the decorating .
Mel, what a lovely job OH has done in your bathroom . Oh you were lucky old foxy didn't pay you a call last night .
Gosh Jane that pussy cat had a good innings , 23 is a good age for a cat isn't it . I had to laugh at 223 Mel :-D :-D :-D
I have had Lacey here for the day ,DIL wanted to get some of the children's presents wrapped . They asked if they could bring the presents here after wrapping them up so they are away from prying eye's , son came in with two big bags when he brought Lacey here ,then this afternoon they came in with four more !!! goodness knows what they have brought them all ,so i now have six big bags up in the spare room as well as all my presents , i could open up as santa's grotto !!! :-D
Dentist for me tomorrow ,just a check up so fingers crossed i get a good report .
Wednesday hubby has to to the hospital to have his ears sucked out again ,also we go to the church to see one of the girls in their christmas play ,then thursday we go again to see another one in their school play .
It's all go this week !!

Yes girls I had just seen that and changed it after I stopped laughing.
Must have left my finger on the 2 too long.
Had dinner sausage onions mash and cabbage and it slid down a treat. Local sausages skinny ones that no fat comes out of.

Thanks for your card Frank. :-D :-D I haven't had a pic of Frank's tree......could someone send it to me please?
Oh Mandy, I bet it will be buzzing with excitement at your son's Christmas morning with all the present opening!! lol. I hope they don't find them at your house before then! :-0 It sounds lovely where they went to see Santa. They seem to make much more of Santa Grottos these days with all the decorations. Did any of them cry when they saw him?
Well, the shoes are on their way back. It was quite easy in the end with the click and collect system. I just had to drop it off at the local newsagent. The post office must be losing a lot of deliveries now that would have gone by post once. Since I blew my car front tyres up the other day it has been much lighter on the steering turning into our drive. They were only 20lb and 25lb!! :-0 It did me in blowing them up as hardly any air seemed to be going into them.....then the footpump fell to bits!! I managed to screw it back together though and it worked a treat after that. :-)
Mel, I seem to remember my car mirror being expensive, but mine aren't heated. It's good you found one online.
It's freezing here now too. OH has been hobbling around with his sciatica today as he daren't sit long or it's worse. He's taken tablets now which are a last resort for him. Methinks I shall be hanging the washing out tomorrow instead of him.
Back to my beads now......

Mel, we are coming down to Torquay I think on the 21st, Is that too late to come over to do it. ??? lol
I had an abusive bloke in the pub tonight, when I ask for the volume to be turned up as the duke box was on, He shouted at me with the most foul language. I threatened to punch his lights out, when the manager stepped in and told him to leave, he was drunk as a skunk and abusive. Two men in the bar had to hold me back from smacking him with a good left hander. If he does it again he will get a good thumping (I have told him so) The manager bought me a pint over with apologies for his behaviour.
I have just come home, and the porch has been decorated, twinkling lights everywhere. She so much likes her decorations.
Tomorrow I have the man from BEN coming at 10.30 ish. Then we can start on the outside lights, providing the weather allows. if not Conrad can do them on Wednesday.
Off to bed now, see you in the morning.

Hi all
The tree looks lovely Frank, Ros has worked hard by the looks of it. I've just been reading the jokes you sent me, to my husband and we couldn't stop laughing, especially the Aussy one.
Thanks for the Christmas cards they arrived today, Sandra loved the one you sent her and asked me to say thank you. She loved the squirrel.
We have sort of adopted a squirrel, well I think the squirrel has adopted us, to be fair. She has an injured front leg and can't walk very well, she is picked on by the other squirrels and a few years ago she came quite close to me when I was sitting in the garden. Since then we have given her nuts and now she comes up to the back door for the nuts. We called her Rosie, and after all this time she knows her name and runs down the garden to us if we call her. Well sort of hops because of her bad leg.
Sandra has taken a turn for the worse and has been in her sister's bed all day. I remember when I was ill, I had one good day and thought I was over it then the following day I felt terrible again and did so for another week, so I hope it doesn't last another week for poor Sandra.
The reason she's in her sister's room is because I needed to stick her wallpaper down on the wall at the side of her bed, for some reason it had come away from the wall at the bottom but to get to it my hubby had to dismantle her bed and move it away from the wall. It's all fixed now but I want to make sure the paste has dried properly before Sandra sleeps in there again, so we're going to put the bed back tomorrow. It's lucky I have her sister's room for her to sleep in and a spare room to put her bed.
Sandra didn't sleep very well last night, in fact we were all woken up at 4.30am to the sound of really heavy hailstones, they lasted about 5 minutes and when I looked out every where was covered in about an inch of white hailstones, it looked like it had snowed. Then ten minutes later it happened again, so poor Sandra didn't get a good nights sleep, which could explain why she felt so bad today.
I loved the pictures you sent Mandy, very Christmassy
Just about to post this when I spotted another email, Frank it was from you. I'm still laughing as I type, I think it's the funniest one you've sent so far :-D :-D :-D

Thank you Mel! Frank, she's covered every branch hasn't she and it looks splendid, must have taken her ages to do it. What are you like......I thought you were going to get bruises if you were up those steps.....now it was nearly fisticuffs or a black eye in the pub with that awful man!! Remember, you need to keep your handsome good looks in order for the mistletoe soon!! ;-) ;-) <3 :-D It was good of the manager to get you a pint and apologise.
That's nice to have a tame little squirrel come visiting Gill. Sandra must love it. It is a shame she isn't so good today, but better than on Christmas Day! Hopefully she will be fine by then.
OH has gone to bed with a hot water bottle for his back tonight. When he came back from putting the bins out he said his car was covered in frost already!! I expect mine will be the same and I have to be out early so it will be scrape, scrape I expect.:-S
Good luck at the dentist Mandy. I hope he gives you the all clear! :-)
