HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR FRANK <3 <3.You have a wonderful evening tonight ,and don't get too near the seafront in this wind :-S :-D ;-)..We don't want you disappearing over the edge. That is a good idea of Anns to sit on your Bum coming down the stairs. Chris and I have not long been back from Fitz's.We had a nice lunch and I'm sure it could have gone on for a lot longer but I had chicken defrosting in the oven and it been in there for hours so I was worried it might actually start warming up.I don't know if it would really do that or not but it was an honest reason for taking our leave. Just had a nice cup of tea and now i'm going to clean Hannah's room ready for her tomorrow. I'm all behind today so will press on now.

I'm pleased your drive down was'nt to busy on the roads Frank. How is Ros with her bruises today? Hope she feels better soon. Enjoy your meal tonight and don't overdo the beers or eat anything that may upset you. Remember your in a strange house because if you have to get up in the night you may go the wrong way!! Can't have you falling down the stairs in the dark, can we?

Afternoon all,
<3 <3 Happy Birthday Frank <3 <3
Hope you enjoy your meal tonight and yes be careful if you go near the sea front we don't want you to get blown away over the edge :-D
It's very windy here but really mild ,the temp in the car said 15 degrees this morning . We went to Morris*ns this morning to get last minute things ,you should have seen the queues going in and coming out of the car park !! so we went parked at sons house and walked back to Morris*ns ,it's only a 10 minute walk and they were all light things that we wanted so no heavy bags .
.Ann , those neck wraps are quite quick to knit if you use the chunky wool .
It's an easy tea for us tonight Keiv's with oven chips and a little salad .

Finally I have all the presents tagged and bowed. It seems to have been a very long job. They are now all ready to go around the tree tomorrow once I have hoovered the lounge. Ruby's card arrived today. Thanks Ruby. Also one from our old friends William and Shimms :-D.They must be coming up to their 3rd wedding anniversary next year !! Mandy the queues were that same at Tes** this morning and people were beginning to get a bit tetchy :-S.I couldn't reach some of the veg on the shelves because of the crates of more veg stacked in front .So I had to wait for a all person who could stretch across for me.I got the sprouts on a stalk ,a load of Carrots and Parsnips,Green Beans and Broccoli,Bag of Potatoes,a fancy dessert. Some Sicilian Lemon and Ginger crumb thing.I have a couple of other nice desserts in the freezer so that is plenty now.
Gill did you manage to get your Chocolate Trifle?I hope you did
Chris will be going to pick up the Turkey at 9am on Xmas eve.(that is his time slot),so he can get any thing else we might have forgotten.I don't want to have to go again now.But I bet there will be something...must check on toilet rolls.I wouldn't want to get caught short on those.
Just seeing on the news the terrible lorry crash in Glasgow city centre .I hope your Katherine wasn't anywhere nearby Fiona <3

Hi Jane,
Katherine rang me this afternoon to tell me the sad news about what had happened in the city centre, she did not want me to hear or see it on the news and start to panic, she was working at the time, and the incident is a few streets away from her shop. It's a terrible tragedy, Georges square will have been packed with people shopping or even leaving Queen street, railway station, We think who was driving the refuse lorry must have had a heart attack or perhaps a stroke, must have been terrifying to see a lorry heading straight for you,

Thank God she was nowhere near Fiona.Glasgow will be in shock tonight .I feel so sad too not just for people who died and were injured but also for the driver and his family. It will be bad enough for them with his death but also to know that that is what caused the death of so many others. It is just dreadful :-0 :-0

Mandy, I've ordered the wool online in the end. It's the little scarf wrap pattern that's in the last WW. They just nicely fill the space in a v neck and your coat collar and stay tidy looking if you know what I mean.....no wrestling to keep in place like a long scarf. I was thinking one would be good in the cinema too when there's a draught round your neck!! lol.
!I decided to go and get the rest of what I needed tonight rather than tomorrow. I'd forgotten I have a hair appt tomorrow first thing and it would be chaos in the shops if I went later after that. Then the farm shop would be busy too. Like Jane I was leaning over crates of sprouts to get to the parsnips! I had to stop OH gathering too many extras for the fridge though........he forgets it will be full as it is. The traffic on the main road was horrendous and at a standstill but now we are all DONE thank goodness!! Just the Turkey for us to collect from the farm on our way back from lunchtime carvery tomorrow. We have deserts in the freezer too. At least they don't spoil and waste if you don't get around to having them. We bought less food last year and it was good because nothing was thrown away and wasted so we've done the same again this year. You can always go and get more after Christmas if you need it can't you.
I was looking at this about preparing and doing roast potatoes in advance and freezing them. It says they are nice and crunchy too, which is important! I think I might try it out after Christmas to see what they are like and if they are just as good as doing them fresh it would be a good thing to do ahead of the day at Christmas in future. Anything to save a bit of time on the day! Has anyone else tried it before?
https://www.homemadebyyou.co.uk/recipes/sides/extra-crunchy-freeze-ahead-roast-potatoes
A neighbour told us the builder who wants to build was here last Thursday and arguing about boundary line again, suggesting that the Land registry document the neighbour has has been changed! A planning person has been this morning measuring the road etc and taking photos. At least they seem to be taking our objections seriously.

That was an awful accident, it would be extra busy with Christmas shoppers too. Nowhere to be able to get out of it's way even if you saw it in time. If it hadn't hit the building it could have been even worse. How dreadful for all involved. It's a good job your daughter contacted you Fiona, you would have been so worried.
OH has been watching darts and footie all night. :-S I'm off to bed now.....ready for another early start tomorrow! I wonder if Mel has finished her cake now.

Morning/Evening All 12o'clock and I am still not dressed.I decided just to get on with the cleaning and then have a shower. So it is all done now and I will not touch another duster or hoover until after Xmas :-D :-D
I am picking Hannah up for the station at 2 ,then I think she said that one of her girlfriends might come round later.I hope she brings Sam her lovely Staffie. I am doing Chicken Curry for dinner so have taken out a bit of extra chicken just in case Sarah stays.
It is so windy and I think maybe a very very fine misty type of rain.It is difficult to tell as it is so fine. I expect everyone will be out at the supermarkets .I will stay clear of them today :-D
Right off for my shower now .See ya later

Morning JUST.
Hope everyone is well and not to worked up about Christmas.
We had a wonderful evening out. The restaurant is in a new complex, and has been done out so lovely. The staff were very attentive, and the food excellent. I had Mackerel Pate and Steak. Two pints of DARTMOOR JAIL ALE 4.8 % followed by a bottle of RED WINE. Nobody else drinks, so I couldn't waste it !!! ;-) ;-) ;-) Having to go in two cars was made easier having two Blue Badges. We were able to find parking on the sea front.
I mentioned to Conrad about the accident in Glasgow, which I only knew about from Fiona's post. He said there are 5 women and one man dead.
On Kim's FB a friend of hers had his STRAW BALES SET ALIGHT by someone last night. Lots of damage. She also sends her love, she has tried to get on the thread but without any luck. It's raining in the air here today, so I don't think I will be walking far today.
I got the Gammon boiled and baked yesterday, and we also received the Jersey Royals I ordered for Christmas. It seems they want the Gammon and new potatoes for dinner tonight with either veg or salad. So that what it will be.
I can't go up and down the stairs on my bum, as there is no carpet on them yet. and I don't want to get splinters ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) Nobody would want to get them out :-D :-D :-D The rest of the house is coming along well, most rooms are decorated, and the heating is working fine. They are doing so well.
Now you lot, DON'T GET STRESSED OUT. I am trying to sort my Kindle out, but it's taking time, and patients ;-) ;-) ;-)
See you later.

Morning All
Sorry I missed saying happy birthday yesterday Frank hope you had a great time, did you get the card I sent you.
Yes Jane I got the trifle, in fact I bought two but they only went up to Christmas day and can't be frozen. I'm sure they'll both be eaten by the end of the big day, Sandra loves them and could probably eat one all on her own if I let her lol.
I went out early yesterday to get the last few things for Christmas but had a bad night the night before, both OH and I have caught the flu and felt terrible all day yesterday. Feeling a little better today flu wise but have now got a bad stomach, I hope we both feel better by Christmas, I feel sorry for OH as he's back in work tomorrow.
We have four more DALLAS's left to watch Mel, which we're going to watch later and just keep in doors where it's warm we don't want to make ourselves worse.. There seems to be a lot of bugs going round at the moment.
Glad to hear your daughter's ok Fiona and that she phoned you to let you know she was alright. I was thinking of you when I saw the news and was hoping you and your family weren't involved. My heart goes out to the families of those who died and were injured. I believe some of them were children. :-(.
Going to have a lie down with a hot water bottle now, see if that help's I'll try and get back later

Sorry to hear you and oh have flu Gil. Do you think it may have been caught off Sandra as it's about the right amount of time? Hope you both feel better tomorrow and for Christmas Day when your mum comes.
Good the food was ok at the resturant last night Frank. Sounds as though you have a good time and enjoyed your bottle of red.
I am just decorating my tree!!!! I have been to Bideford to deliver Joy's presents and she had bought me a basket flower arrangement which is now on the table in the hall. then I dropped her off in town and went on to Morr*sons. It was packed when I went in but about half way around it seemed to clar a bit and when I came out there were plenty of parking spaces. I had to wait for a lady to go when I first went in. They were parked everywhere even where there were'nt spaces marked out. Only went in for a few bits and came out with a basket full as usual.
Well back to my tree now after making a cuppa.
See you later.

Well here we are back from touring around the shops. I should have stayed at home, but thought getting out might do me good. I has been decided what we haven't got now, we will go without.
Tesco, Morrison's, M & S and Sainsbury's were packed to the doors M & S were out of cues and short of lots of things, I heard someone ask for something in Sainsbury's and was told we are SOLD OUT.
I of course lost the girls part way round. When I caught up with them, I said why do you have to rush off. Think about us old 'uns .
Hope that bug clears up for you Gill, and yes I got your card O.K. Thanks.
Nice smell of fresh baked bread in your house then Jane. We are making do with bought ones. It's been decided TWO want Gammon and Jersey Royals and Salad, The rest of us want Gammon Eggs and Chips. (ME INCLUDED). We have bought another Gammon today for Boxing Day. I will boil and roast that tomorrow. Will my special Honey and Mustard Glaze.
I'm sitting in the kitchen with a cold beer, while the others are watching T.V. (It's nice to get away from Ella's Disney films.
Mel you are late getting your tree done, !! is it all finished now. ???.
We have 10 coming Boxing Day, so there will be A HOUSE FULL. Jan's Daughter and her partner are coming down boxing morning and staying a couple of days. So that will be nice.
She has some news for us, regarding her pregnancy (She is 16 weeks gone, at 40 plus, so everybody is thrilled to bits) She will announce the SEX when all the family are together. So the Bubbly will be popping. !!!
After a very enjoyable evening last night, I hardly slept during the night. Not because of going to the loo, Just thinking of my Children. I did have a surprise this morning, to find my daughter had left a message on FB. at 11,.50 pm last night, wishing me a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Nothing from my son. and of course no cards from any of them, including Harvey.
Jan's daughter Jo. has clients for their waxing and massages till 6.30 tonight so we will eat after they have gone. She has been very busy, with people coming and going since we arrived. She has a GREAT BUSINESS and earning LOADS OF MONEY !!!
I'm off now, might see you later, if not tomorrow.
Hope all of you enjoy your evening, and not STRESSED.
