Up first I see! Hope Gins got some more sleep - peaceful this time.

Thanks for brekkie Sylvs........tiptoeing around so that Dea can't hear me. Why do croissants have to make so much mess?

At 2pm today I will be sitting with my poorly friend whilst her husband's funeral is taking place. She is a churchperson too, so I thought I would take some prayers to read quietly to her.

Seeya later~~~~~~

Good morning Sylvs !!!

Now then ..... potato pancake, or frittata ??....... frittata, or potato pancakes ??? - Can't have both - tooooo fiilling !!

O.K. then, frittata it is ! Also, some bacon and a copule of those lovely turkey sausages, 'must' have some of those tomatoes.... OOOhhh, and just a slice or two of fried bread...... yuuuummm !!!

So glad you put me out a larger plate this morning Sylvs, I can just get another couple of slices of bacon on the top, and a bit of black pudding !

I am SO going to enjoy this >>>>>>>>>>>

Can you make sure you save me one of those upside-down orange bran muffins !

See you all later,

I was there Cynths but I was concentrating on balancing my plate and didn't see you !!

I will be thinking of you today, especially around 2pm when you will be spending time with your friend.

I am sure she will appreciate you being there and her family must be comforted by the fact that you will be with her at that time.

Love + hugs,

Dea x

AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's better, now where are those high blood pressure pills?

Via Ancestry's Recent Member Contact facility I have just spotted that someone has downloaded a 1901 census record relating to one of my female ancestors and attached it to a female in their tree who had a different maiden name to my ancestor.

Being a nosey so and so I took a look at the profile of the female that the record has been attached to.

She must have been a truly remarkable woman as she appears to have had multiple marriages/relationships, 10 in total, 8 definitely to men, one definitely to a woman and one unknown. These relationships seemingly produced no fewer than 85 offspring including one to whom she gave birth to whilst only months old herself.

Taking a look at the profile of the tree owner revealed that she is 60+, had a college education and claims to have been researching for over 20 years. The one fact that her profile revealed that I was not surprised about was the tree owners birth place. I will let you guess where that was.

Gee Report 6 Apr 2011 09:46

J....a college education in the US perhaps?

Cyns....will be thinking of you at 2.00pm today and your friend of course x

Gin,

It doesn't actually state which college the tree owner attended but based upon her birth place and her attention to detail I suspect that it might have been The Washington State College of Education for the Hard of Thinking.

I had one last night too that I had posted on here....but clicked submit and got internet explorer cannot display page ect so that was the end of my searching for the evening.
I thought that maybe this one was ok being English and also decended from this woman...No born and died in a villiage in Essex but every census born and living somewhere else. On one census she has her mother living with her Ann Buck?? strange that her mothers name was Sarah Franklin.
If I do ever decide to follow her though I don't think I will take much notice of that or her 16 children.

I'm well hacked off with the page cannot be displayed. Why the hell can’t it be displayed....?

I’ve voiced my opinion without swearing on FB.....what sort of techy people do they have working at GR.......s#it ones that’s what

Grrrrrrrrrr

and have had to come home due to the boiler not working. Tried to light the pilot and it's about as accommodating as the GR website

Plumber on his way

RottenR Report 6 Apr 2011 15:58

Is plumber for website or for boiler ????? Perhaps a toilet plunger placed over the "inbox"

Been to parents today as its mums birthday and managed to get an old photo of gt grandparents with 7 of thier kids unfortunatly my nan is'nt one of them she was number 16 although only 10 survived past 6 months.
I asked dad who they were he had no idea, looked at my tree and can now name them all ...youngest in the pic being born june 1897 so photo dates sometime around late 1898 early 1899...trying to scan it now but HID thinks it may be too dark

Well, that's today over with. It was rather a surreal experience to be honest. Never in a thousand years would I ever have imagined I would be sitting at my friend's bedside in such circumstances.

Apart from crying when she saw me and then wanting to go home with me, she seemed relatively calm and peaceful, so I was grateful for that.

It's been quiet on here today......where IS everyone? Don't tell me everyone is watching 'Lambing Live'??? lol

O.K. then Jax !! - very basic help here !!

I know these things can be enhanced technically, but before you go along that route - do what the experts do.

If it is nicotine stain rather than ageing - lick your finger and just rub it across an insignificant corner - If it improves it you know what to do to the rest.

If not, you need to go to an expert.

Let me know how you get on.
