No I have not mentioned it since Cyn.

It lasted about three weeks, they were a bunch of crooks. I would call it pyamid selling. He would be sent to an address normally about 30+ miles away to houses where they have had a cold call and had no interest in buying...he then had to ring the manager who would discount and if they still did'nt sign up they were quite nasty.

He went to one house on a sunday evening and the couple were drunk. The chap went to show him the kitchen and fell over, wife tried to pick him up and she ended up on the floor.....sounds funny but not when you have been travelling for an hour to have to deal with that.

His last appointment was with a 76 year old disabled lady who was selling to move into a home and had no intention of paying 8k for a tiny kitchen...both his manager and area manager got nasty with her and HID over the phone and HID got accused of upsetting the lady thats why she would'nt sign up?? He was then told this job is'nt for you and to return his samples ect the next day.

There were four people who started the same time one was dismissed after the first week another a few days before HID for the same reason, which now just leaves one woman from his group.

HID told me that the woman was sent to a flat in Lewisham...why they sent her I dont know as she was the furthest away. Anyway she got there and there was just a man there and he asked if she would remove her shoes, which she did...She did her chat whle he was constantly looking at her feet...He then showed her the kitchen and said I am just nipping to the bathroom while she measured up.....10 minutes later he returned wearing just a dressing gown nothing else with everything on show :O

She screamed grabbed her shoes and run out and then called the police, when she told the manager he said "what did you call the police for we would have sorted it"....yeah buy forcing him to buy a kitchen no doubt :-)

So thats what happened to the kitchen job :D

Can you take almond cheese or yoghurt cheese Sylvia?

I know nothing about them I was just doing a google search on lactose free cheese.

I thought the Buggs thread was rather Batty by the time I finished reading it earlier today (9.45pm here Thurs Night)

I love the other one aaaarrrrhhhhggg wanted Sylvia's atavar picture what a hoot. I had another name for her similar to her board name but thought I might get deported.

I'll pass on breakfast - we had a ragout for our dinner. It has prunes in it. I don't need prunes but they are do make for a nice flavour. When I was kid my mother would stew prunes for pudding and we had these bowls that had a little ledge around them where one put the stones.

There are so many scams about including pyramid selling and an awful lot of gullible people about. Some people rip others off and the others think they are so wonderful until the house of cards crumbles and they are out of pocket for loads of Vegemite....

Heaven's ja...x you hear stories like that on such as Fake Britain. They sound a real bunch of con men. Reckon HID is best out of it. Hope something good comes up for him at the Job Centre.


Been to the hairdressers and am feeling much happier now! I don't suit long hair so I am always glad to get it chopped into shape.

I too looked on the Announcement boards, 'just in case' and saw the message.

At the same time I also noticed a 'long overdue' announcement about the review site.

I wandered in and part of the message was this....

"Reviews can remain ananymous."

Perhaps we should submit a review on their spelling ??? :D

You are SO right Ja...x - How embarrased I am !!!!!

I have edited it to reflect the correct spelling - However, I don't get paid to type correctly on here and my fingers often go astray ;-)

I wonder if this would be helpful to Sylvia when she comes back on - being an 'upside-down' person, so to speak ?? :D
