Sylvs....do you think it is worth doing any more on the Buggs thread?

I'm quite willing to dig further but I'm not sure she is reading what has been found. I'm not even sure she has a tree on here to be honest.

Just thought I would ask someone wiser.....................and

older than me! running>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Re Buggs

I think she is thoroughly confused

I think she might be talking about Buggs in trees on ancestry not on here

and we all know about ancestry trees

I'll go back and have a look to see if I can make any more sense of what she posts ............................... later

of course!

you ask for a doggy bag :)))

I wouldn't do it in a fine restaurant, of course

although having said that ................ we ate out in Halifax last year with J&M, at a very expensive place.

J & I both had buffalo steak ...... and they were so large that we couldn't finish them. So she asked for a "doggy bag", and they brought a styrofoam box to the table, we both put our left over steak in there and took it home. M got the sliced up meat for lunch the next 2 days!

Some places bring the box to you, and you put your own food in it. That's supposedly so that you are sure that you are getting "your" food.

Others, and this is the commonest here, take your plate away, then bring you the box in a brown paper bag.

However, yesterday I ate at a Food Fair in the mall, and just asked for "takeaway", whch meant they put a lid on the large plastic bowl.

C has a new thread on Suggestions

GR has announced on FB that another company is asking for reviews of GR. Presumably GR will then use the reviews in advertising

Trouble with this country we are not geared up for it.

When working as a waitress in a large family pub restuarant, we were often asked for doggy bags or the Americans would ask for a box.

All we could offer was foil if they were lucky as we did'nt always have it or otherwise some clingfilm...not the easiest of things to use for warm food.

It would have been better to offer some sort take away box because I hated taking food to the kitchen to wrap up and I am sure the customers did'nt like it either

Actually, ja...x, Id rather they took the plate to the kitchen and put the food in the box in there.

I don't like doing it myself at the table.

I did'nt look at your link but I take it it is the invisable ink thread...I did have a chuckle once I realised what she was talking about.

Well if you were taking the food home to eat would'nt you worry that it may have dropped on the floor or I have even known it to go in the bin by mistake...thats got you thinking has'nt it
