Note to self: must spell check every post 'that' Persie women makes

womAn Ginny...WomEn is plural.....WomAn is singular...There is only one Persie woman therefore it is SINGULAR not PLURAL....

I have just had to call off my shopping trip

the buses I use are trolley buses

The trolley wires are down at a major intersection about half-a-mile away

Np traffic moving on the cross street, and no buses on our road

OH says he'll come home a little early, and take me there by car so we cna get the new pan

Very nice of him ....... but I was looking forward to lunch out, and

he doesn't like doing any other kind of shopping, sigh!

FBG,

I see that you slipped in under the radar to grab the 25,100th.

How is trade by the way? I'm guessing that its a bit on the slow side since you have now taken a part-time job with the Grammar Police.

I will also remind you Fanny Pants, that I had an Irish dad and an American mother....spelling was a big mix in my life

And....YOU of all people...how very dare you women/woman :-P

And I will remind you that I was diagnosed with dyslexia in the third year at Uni....you are mocking the disabled

Mumps off with head bowed....

Ginny you think you had problems. When I was at junior school I remember there was a lad in the class whose father was Polish, his mother was Irish via Liverpool. He was being raised in the Black country and to cap it all the family then went to live in Brazil. He probably went on to become the only person in the world who spoke Portuguese in a Polish Irish Black Country accent.

Welcome aboard Victor.

Additional males are always welcome on this thread as Calhame and myself have a devil of a game keeping this load of unruly women in check.

Ginny - My little grandson does that 'mumping off with head bowed' thing wonderfully - Is your bottom lip also stuck out, curled down and quivering just like his ??

Dea x :-D

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 29 Jun 2011 20:51

my grandfather used to tell me either

a pigeon will come and land on that lip if you don't stop it

OR

be careful, you might get stuck like that

By the way Cynthia:

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

43 years wed eh!

Been there, done that, got the scars to prove it.

Dea

Dea Report 29 Jun 2011 21:00

Mine told me that too Sylvia! :-D

The look, I am afraid is often accompanied by the phrase "It's NOT funny" !

Unfortunately, little grandson is VERY funny and has me laughing all the time - the more he says this and curls his little lip down ever further, head bowing lower, shoulders shrugged and the frown growing deeper, the more I laugh and end up in hysterics, tears streaming down my face.

I can't help it but he just doesn't understand the joke !!

One day perhaps!

Think I should just go and give Persie a good slap and put her out of action for a while R,that should do it.. :-D

Dea

Dea Report 29 Jun 2011 21:27

You can't slap her now Fans - she is asleep!

Trade has been good today and she is worn out, poor thing !!
