As Jax has said the thread's normal title and its opening post (Which unfortunately you are not able to see because someone has requested a review) is on the Find Ancestors board because as the opening post would reveal, it is there to ask people not to make duplicate posts. The OP originally started the thread on the Trying To Find board which is where she considered most duplicated posts were likely to be made. GR subsequently incorporated the TTF board into the new Find Ancestors board.

The thread has evolved over the 12 months that it has been on the boards. Although it contains a lot of friendly banter between its regular contributors, who every time they make a post elevate the thread's normal title up the board so that its core message is viewed by the maximum number of potential users of the board.

As well as chatting to and about one another the threads contributors (The Gang as you refer to them) are in the main all experienced people who gladly give of their time and resources to help other GR members with their enquiries. The regular contributors are from all around the globe, Australia, Canada, England, New Zealand, Spain, USA and Wales. The thread is open to everyone to add to and whenever a new board name appears on it they are without exception made very welcome.

The opening post has been referred for review on a previous occasion (Only GR knows whether by the same person who has now requested a review). On that occasion GR did not find anything wrong with the post or the thread in its current location so they restored it unaltered.

Thank goodness somebody could explain that without going off on one !
However with the thread being retitled then it is not going to help anybody. I do not object to having a little fun. I am a minor in the family of people that do free research on this site and appreciate that on times a little light relief helps.

We don't go back into our Coffins until midnight (though as we are, as said before, from many points of the globe, our 'midnight's' differ so you never know just who you will find on here.
