Another comedy series that has not yet been mentioned was Open All Hours. Sheer brilliance in both the script and the performances of Ronnie Barker and David Jason.

As a shopkeeper myself at the time it had a certain resonance for me in fact I seriously considered renaming our shops Arkwrights General Stores.

Jonesey, I think Ronnie Barker was one of the cleverest script writers around at the time. His use of the English language was so brilliant - sheer genius. Did you know that at his funeral service they had four candles instead of the usual two? Now there's a tribute with a difference....lol

Cold cereals:-
Corn Flakes, Raisin & Almond Oatmeal Crisp, Muesli, Choco Pops, Acai Apple Granola, Rice Crispies,


Hot cereal:-
Porridge, Cream of Wheat, Quick Quaker Oats,


In the warmer:-

peameal bacon, double smoked Danish bacon, sausage patties, turkey sausages, cheesy potato patties, boiled eggs, frittata, grilled tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, baked beans, fried bread, black pudding,


Buttermilk Dollar Pancakes, Maple syrup, Blueberry Fruit Syrup, Peach Yoghurt, Orange Yoghurt


Toast (sourdough, rye, white, whole grain, 100% brown, Hovis, gluten free), croissants, bagels, barm cakes, lemon and nut muffins


Jams, jellies, Ginger marmalade, marmite, peanut butter, vegemite
