Jonesey Report 29 Aug 2011 13:18

Renes,

The Victor Palmer who arrived on La Touraine was a locksmith by trade. According to the passenger manifest the ship sailed from Le Havre on 6/5/1006. Nothing seems to indicate that the vessel called at Southampton. The bulk of the passengers were French. According to the manifest Victor was a French national.

The birthplace of a Victor Palmer who arrived in New York on 29/9/1906 aboard the "Umbria" was Dublin:

Name: Victor F Palmer
Arrival Date: 29 Sep 1906
Birth Year: abt 1887
Birth Location: Lucan Dublin
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Ethnicity/Race/Nationality: Irish
Port of Departure: Queenstown, Ireland
