The last place she lived before she went to Canada was 'Stottingway' but I don't understand that birth detail of 'Blaskness or Blackness'??

Renes Report 29 Aug 2011 17:45

Thanks Dea

It seems as if it has to be the Chard birth -- as the other has diff parents --- not that I know the Chard birth parents -- as I cannot find her pre 1901 --- with he Uncle

Renes

The US dont have a central reg like the GRO, they are listed by states and not all states allow disclosure

The next US census is released in April next year, so not too long to wait. Im looking forward to seeing where my uncle is and who he's with!

Minnie is listed on FreeBMD 1889 born Chard

I hate to say it Renes......you need the cert ;-)

Renes

Renes Report 29 Aug 2011 17:50

Sorry Dea

Am confused --- when did she go to Canada --- and where did Stottingway come from

Think I am a bit rusty

or even very rusty

Gins

Yeah I know I the end but

I already know her parents names ---- William and Elizabeth ( Assuming correct on married entry --- Victors are exactly correct so no reason yet to assume hers are not )

so the birth cert will not necessarily give me anymore into -- possibly an address but am more interested in finding a census ------for either her or perhaps parents

And --- i the end ( cruelly) she aint blood ---- and dont buy certs for non blood ----

But am interested in their life in USA -----

SORRY Renes - I meant New York !!! (Trying to cook tea at the same time ).

When she travelled in 1907 her last place of residence was down as 'Stottingway' which I think is 'Weymouth'ish' ??
