Ooooh Persie.......just going to take some of that Rabbit and bacon risotto to my OH. He has been on about rabbit lately. Haven't had rabbit for years and years. He'll be SO pleased.

Thank you very much for that lovely spread.....have another port and lemon on us!

Glad I made it for brekkie this morning..........it will set me up for rummaging around under the spare bed to sort things out. I am very much a de-clutterer these days. If we don't need it or haven't used whatever I find............it's gorn!

I have an intermittent Internet connection. They have recently switch over the network and ever since then it keeps chucking me off. Must have been something I said lol

I am changing my broadband over to my second line. Went into my service provider who will do this within the next five days. They just want to check my router for faults before the do so. The second line is in the middle of the house so should give better coverage.

Funny thing is since talking to them the outages have been less.

Just going to read the boards

Anyone here in the UK who has a pension please?

Still trying to sort out brother's bit and pieces!!

I think it was said recently that pensions had to be paid into a bank or post office account ??

Is there a 'pension' book to sign like you used to have to claim the money or is it all through an account somewhere?

I need to make sure that it is not still being claimed.

Just got the form to send off to cancel things but the4 council will be clearing his house and will probably leave bin bags of 'paper work' everywhere !!!

They were supposed to ring me back but haven't !

Would like to get it all tied up properly !!

We have a very limited choice, Manx Telecom, Sure and WiManx. I'm with Manx Telecom a little more expensive than the others but the others are renting the lines off Manx Telecom. On the whole I am happy with them it's just the last couple of weeks that has been a problem.

They where going to charge me to change lines but when they put my connection info up on their computer, it was the worst they had seen and so are going to do it for free. They wanted what was left on the current contract plus a set up charge for the broadband on the new number. However, I argued my case and the manager eventually agreed with me(most probably wanted to get rid of me)

Until you don't have it you don't realize how much you depend on it.

A least I could do my farmville on my phone

I have a pension and they are paid into Bank or Post office

Have you claimed for the Bereavement allowance to pay the cost of the funeral

Renes

Dea

Dea Report 2 Sep 2011 20:53

I didn't think you could claim that unless you could not afford to pay for the funeral Renes ?? - Done that now anyway - after all, he was my brother !!

I will have to try to trace his post office account then.

Thanks Renes,
