As I have to log into FMP each day, due to stupid virgin security and I am finding it will not let me log in before I have searched for a record, because it then asks me to log in again

It is not kicking me out as such LK

I have learned not to sign in before I have searched a record otherwise I would have to sign in all over again

O.K. then folks !! - Persie must be busy today so it's bacon butties all round, I am afraid, plus poached eggs on crumpets for Ginns..............

Have stuck some mushrooms and tomatoes under the grill, sausages are in the pan and the toast is 'toasting' !

Croissants and danish are set out too.............

Tea, coffee and juices are ready !

Hope you find something in there to nibble on while I cook up a few orange and ginger muffins.

You KNOW where the salt is Ginns !!!

LOTS of 'naughty' salt is sprinkled on your poached eggs !!!

You should taste before you complain !!! ;-)

Sorry today was "Fathers Day" over here.... It didn't even dawn on either of us until we had a text from our daughter... so they were over here during the time I would normally do breakfast.... I couldn't very well excuse myself and say I have to go and make brekkie for Dea and Gins etc ... they would think I was even more madder than usual.

Don't worry Persie,

We found ourselves something to eat - not up to 'your' lovely standards though ;-)

We are indeed VERY fortunate to have your skills most of the time when needed so you are most certainly excused on this occasion :-D

Hope you were well fed and had a lovely day!

I get kicked off the net on my laptop when the phone rings... I have to wait till phone call completed... even then it has been known to stay off and I have to muck around reconnecting and making out like I am a clever IT person... I don't really know what I am doing but I try out all sorts and generally get there in the end. I have even pretended I am a new connection.. anything to make it work.

There is nothing I can do about staying logged in...it is the anti virus provider we are using (virgin) will not allow you to retain user codes and pass words once the puter has been switched off.

The worse one is my online Banking. there are three lots of details that have to be put in one being a rather long number...just hope I do not lose this little card with the number on it.

Edit - It is not just FMP it is every site I use that requires a password, when I get a new laptop may take up norton again

Dea

Dea Report 4 Sep 2011 17:04

OOOOHhhh............ NOT Norton Ja....x

I had SO much trouble with that conflicting with everything else !!!

No troubles with AVG and MUCH cheaper !!

You even get a 'person', 'in England', when you phone up with a problem !!!

Have you considered down loading a free anti virus?

AVG or Avast are very good

Could you down load one and then remove the Virgin product?

jax

jax Report 4 Sep 2011 17:11

Not had any problems with Norton for the last 5 years but changed to Virgin this year as they are our service provider and it was free.

At least if anyone breaks in and nicks my laptop they would not be able to get into any of the sites I use

AVG looks VERY secure to me Ja....x - I have the paid version, not the free one, but it is cheaper than the others and seems to work very well.

Yeah I think he said the paid ones were ok Dea....I dont get involved let him get on with it. It was something he used to pay for when he was working and I dont think he wanted to ask me for more money, so we have this at the moment.
