Definitely an interesting evening Persie and very different to shows we used to watch our children in...... :-D

Hug our teachers????? Never in a million years! We were far too in awe of them.

I well remember the Head Mistress at my senior school. She was a middle-aged spinster of whom we were rather scared because she was very 'old school' type and discipline was high on her agenda. 40 years later I discovered she was in the same nursing home as my mum - just along the corridor in fact. I used to visit her and was so saddened to see the decline in her mental state and behaviour. Her faculties declined quite rapidly and I once found her lying in her bed in a state of undress. I remember gently covering her up and feeling nothing but pity for her. Good job we don't know what's coming to us.... :-(


On that cheerful note I will orf and do my messaging for people who just don't read the flippin' guidelines......... :-S

Off to show him his new BIG BOY school where he is going to learn Welsh,Polish and read and write as well as understandable English...
Boy he is gonna be confused by Christmas as to what language to speak...

Buying his school uniform as well so he knows its for real...

Quite right Fans - she will find out when she gets there - when you retire, you look back and wonder how the #### you used to fit in a job at the same time!!

How are you doing?? - I do SO admire what you are doing, my 'little hurricane' will arrive about 9am tomorrow and by the time he goes home we will both be ready for bed !! :-(

I suppose though that if we 'needed' to have him full time we would re-arrange our lives and cope - You do, don't you, when you love them ??

Fans, why is he learning Polish? Not that Im against learning lanugages but it just seems a bit left field

She may have meant that he is learning to polish Gins.....you know, furniture and stuff. She gets very muddled these days.


As for antiquated.......I suppose you realise that many antiques are very valuable ............aren't we Dea?? :-D

We have a large Polish community here in and around our village and thank Evans we do or else we prob wouldnt have the PO or 2 shops and other things we have here compared to many villages in these parts...
Most of them work in the slaughterhouse/Packing plant and others have found jobs locally and have intergrated well...
They even opened a Polish shop here but it closed as most of the community just used the local 2 shops.

So our village I suppose is now Tri-lingual.... :-D

We are indeed Cynths !!!

They will be fighting over us on 'Antiques Roadshow' very soon ;-) ;-)

Is that all the community you have then, Welsh and Polish.....I wonder what language they would teach the little un if he lived here!

Take youre pick....we is very diverse but NY beats the lot
