Yep that should hit the spot.. not one for Sherry but any Port in a storm.. ..

My Grandmother Margaret Turnbull was born in Ancrum. :-) :-)

Goose fat in the hidey hole for you Dea... hope the roast is nice..

I watched Dine with me last night, and one of the contestants was a vegan and she practically threw the dinner at the others, dished it out of the pot at the table and told them if they don't like it tough... are all veges like that Gins... and yet she behaved very well .. sorry moderately well at the others houses.. she did like her main so much at one house that she picked up the plate and licked it clean.

Gosh they put the most unlikely people together and then let them fight it out.. can be hilarious at times..

Good morning all - a bright start to the day here (for a change) :-D

Lovely breakfast Sylvia, as always <3

Thanks for leaving the goose fat in the hidey hole for me Persie, it makes for very tasty roast potatoes.

Off for a wander so see you all later, for that wonderful lunch.

A WHAT load of Turnbulls, Maureen??? You're just mad because my Ottawa Senators beat your New York Rangers last night.

Sylvia, an obstinancy of Turnbulls sounds right. You must know my family.

Persie, I was Margaret Turnbull, I'm not your grandma am I?

Don't have a shack attack,Margee! :-D

I haven't watched an entire hockey game in decades. (geez-the expansion teams were enough to drive a person crazy)

When OH was in the navy we lived in Italy for 3 years. Had a very tiny b&w TV that worked if the wind was blowing in the right direction. One evening-bingo-a hockey game!!! Cool! Commentary was all in Italian,of course, and I kept hearing one player's name as "Chippiefella". Dear heaven-it was Ron Chipperfield playing for Bolzano(?). That's the entire story but it took weeks of snail mail for my brother (in MB) to convince me that I hadn't fallen down the rabbit hole.

Edit: And I got an error message when posting this.
