AmazingGrace08 Report 7 Aug 2013 02:01

Morning all,

Went home and sorted the sickies out (mostly by putting them in separate rooms, they were both niggly and cranky!) and OH has dragged himself to work today

Gins I suppose our Winters are very mild compared to what you get, mind you we unfortunately make up for it with our horrible hot Summers! It gets down to about 1-4 degrees overnight and up to about 11-15 in the day. Not much to complain about when you all get snow etc!

Hope everyone is having a good day so far

:-D

Cynthia Report 7 Aug 2013 08:12

Good morning all........I guess I'm going to be the one to put the kettle on..... :-D

Clattering about with pots and pans........

okay!

Porridge is bubbling.

Bacon is frying ... I may do fried bread as a treat :-)

Everything else is grilling - except the bread - which is toasting - and the eggs which are scrambling and poaching.

Milk out of fridge for cold cereals.

Fruit juice available.

Delivery of fresh rolls, croissants and crumpets just arrived.

Enjoy!

Gins

I will have you know I have had a busy day had the granddaughters all day.
Baby is crawling BUT she wants to be on her feet so is pulling herself up on everything.
O didn't want to go home so said she was putting her shoes in the bin I told her not to as they would get dirty.

OH goes to look for them not in bin (good girl she listened)

Yep she did listen they were floating in the basin soaking wet :-D

Took them home and she wants to come back to Gran's house so she did and her Daddy picked her up :-D

OH is away visiting his Mum who has finally been transferred to different hospital (not the one she waited all day yesterday to go to that bed disappeared)

Hopefully she will now get some pain relief diabolical that an 83 year old has been kept waiting since Monday night only had paracetamol :-|

Dea,

OH not home yet so no update she only transferred to the hospital this afternoon so really don't expect they will have done much.

such a shame SIL says that her pain is akin to someone who has bone cancer.

It will be her 64th wedding anniversary at the end of the month :-)

AmazingGrace08 Report 8 Aug 2013 02:04

morning all,

Hope you are all well :)

Gins it is probably just me who is soft..I like the heater cranked up in Winter and the air con on in Summer!

OH and daughter and two colleagues at work have shared their colds with me so have a steaming hot lemon drink in front of me and am trying to concentrate very hard on figures. Had a session at the fire brigade last night and it was soo cold and wet, that probably did not help, went to bed but could not get warm and the house next door (which is vacant since the last lot of terrible tenants left) had their smoke detector going off (battery running flat) so it would squeal every hour or so through the night ...agh!

It is only Thursday too :-(

Sounds like you have all been very busy with children and grandchildren!

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 8 Aug 2013 08:37

Tis quiet in here! :-S

Good morning all..........I will don my apron and set to work. :-D

Okay.............Egg on toast for Gins........a large bacon sandwich for Dea.......Porridge and cereal for everyone else.

There are lots of things in the warmers if anyone wants to make anything up for themselves. Bacon....sausages.....tomatoes.....mushrooms and beans.

Fresh rolls and croissants.

Tea, coffee and juice.

Enjoy...........

Dea

Dea Report 8 Aug 2013 08:43

Thanks for the bacon buttie Cynths <3 <3

You are right - it IS quiet on here. Everyone must be having a lie-in :-S :-D

Dea Xxx

Linda

Linda Report 8 Aug 2013 11:52

Lie in I wish!

Just stepped into shower when doorbell went. By the time I got to the door and got it opened the parcel had went to the neighbour :-(

The driver came back (to put a note through the door) and I was standing there gave him a fright I did so got my own back ;-)

Gracie how kind of them to share with you ;-) Hope you all feel better soon <3

M-I-L is expected to be in hospital for 6 - 8 weeks. The physio has had her walking on a zimmer frame for a couple of metres.

Physio then phoned my S-I-L to get a background of what has been happening.

Now going to have a case conference to discuss treatment so hopefully she will improve at least they haven't mentioned amputation (of the toe) so that's good.

OH not visiting today was told to take a day off. Now we can get the shopping done.

Gee

Gee Report 8 Aug 2013 17:00

Linds

That's sounds awful, love to your MiL and family <3

Im crackered, as Cyns says

Dea

Dea Report 8 Aug 2013 18:27

I am 'crackered' too Ginns - been out with the grandchildren all day !!! :-0 ;-)

Linds - at least it sounds like they are aiming to sort her out before they let her home and I am sure that they will be better able to persuade her and F-I-L that they have to have some assistance when they get home.

It sounds harsh but this will probably be the best thing to have happened if it means that they get some help for the future.

SO glad they are not talking about operating on her at the moment - let's hope they can avoid it!

Love to all,

Dea Xxx <3

Gee Report 8 Aug 2013 18:59

I had the plasterer man come over to give us a quote for the sitting room.

He should have arrived at 3.30ish

We never eat dinner before 7pm, tonight, we ate early.........just as he arrived, at 6.30pm!

Sheesh....

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 8 Aug 2013 20:54

Linds, I hope the short stay in hospital will give everyone time to assess your mil properly and all necessary help put into place. Trouble is, when anyone close is in hospital, it sure takes up a chunk of time and organisation in visiting and sorting doesn't it? <3

Took friend and daughter out for coffee today. Summer hols always mean that my afternoons are taken up in trying to keep daughter busy.......but, as OH had me up in the night because he had 'frozen' and couldn't move, I am a bit weary.....
