Good girl Dea......you have to take the pills you know! OH takes about 18 a day just to keep going.........He is getting a lot of 'bloating' at the moment and has a pill for that too!!


Been busy all day......sorry not to have been in earlier.........zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Dea over here the chemists can get your scripts and sort out the tablets into a daily dose for however times a day you have to take them, saves people having to count them out and possibly forgetting the right combination etc or forgetting to take a dose. You just peel off a sealed lid for the morning dose of day one for example and there they all are :)

Do you have that kind of service over there?

Sorry folks - there is no bacon - I ate it all last night when I was feeling sorry for myself :-( :-(

We do have................ porridge, poached or scrambled eggs, sausages, mushrooms and tomatoes, fried bread and baked beans.

Also plenty of ham and various cheeses, so I think we will manage ;-) :-D :-D

It is all cooked and the toast and crumpets are just finishing.

Gracie, I haven't heard of that system before but, it may well happen over here I suppose. It must be very handy for those who are getting older and forgetful. My OH uses an ice cube tray and puts his pills into different sections for throughout the day. He has to take his Parkinson's meds every three hours, so it's useful way of checking where he is up to. He also writes it down on a chart - I suppose he's a 'belt and braces' type of chap..... :-D :-D

No Gracie, the chemists do not offer that service here, it sounds very good.

I have done myself a little chart on the computer with all my meds listed and columns and boxes which I tick off as I take them so I can see exactly what I have taken and what I need to take. - I print this off and have it on my desk so I can keep track of them ;-)

I hope this site is going to behave today, I had awful trouble with it yesterday...........

Another busy day going to get holiday cash YES we are going :-)

Then OH has his 3 monthly checkup this afternoon and hospital visiting this evening.

So not too busy ;-)

You can get the system Gracie was talking about at the pharmacy. My son is a pharmacist and does the pill boxes and my in-laws also use them.

Just ask next time you are in.

Aw....poor JB, came home from today feeling really sick :-(

I've sent him to lay down and rest....he has a very stressful job and has been over doing things of late

quick visit

have been really busy the last few days, and rarely on the computer.

Have only had time to read back a few posts.

Hope all those feeling Yucky feel much better.

Dea ............. I take 12 or 14 pills (depends on the day) each morning, 4 after dinner, 1 at about 9 pm, and 6 at bedtime!


Our pharmacy has recently been advertising that they will package into daily doses.

I use a 7 day pill box for my morning meds. I set it up once a week, and then just tip them on to the counter and take them each day.


We're going away tomorrow (Friday) until August 26 ............ as you know, I'm taking OH to visit his sister, to celebrate the "biggie" he has next week.

We'll fly there tomorrow, stay a week, then take the trains home

One train will take us from her town to Jasper, then we'll transfer to The Canadian to get back down here.


2 hours to fly there ............... almost 4 days to get home!! :-D :-D


Home all goes well for the next 10 or so days


Try to behave :-D

What time is it where you are? Either you are up late or early!

It is 4.30 pm here must be catching Silvia's weather it has gone very dark and really strong wind gusts now, branches down everywhere.

Thanks for breakfast, just had a snack of some corn chips and cheese and some pickled green tomatoes that OH's mum makes...mmmmm they are soooo good! (Not for the waist just my taste buds!)
