I'm not being very good at doing breakfasts at the moment :-(

Our visitor returns on Tuesday until, I think, Thursday morning.

Her friend comes in sometime on Thursday, and thye move to a hotel for 2 nights, then on to doing their own thing.

We elave on Friday afternoon, and will be back on the 26th Aug.

Visitor and friend may stay with us 27-28 Aug, or go to a nearby hotel.

They leave on the 28 Aug

Daughter and MJ arrive on Sep 27

Thanks for your comments, the more I thought about Jonesy was saying the more akin it seemed to what happened to me. She did get my address details and i hers, but not a phone number and she would not know who my insurer was...and then she took off, which she could be charged with leaving the scene of an accident without full disclosure (of course at the time standing in the pouring rain I went completely blank and could not think what to do!)

Of course I don't know who the bloke was and the guy who did come and tow the car from my house said that he would not be a towie as they have to advise you of several things, check to ensure the car is safe before moving..he did say it was likely he would have been watching and would take the car ...get it fixed and sell it on :-(

Had a few moments on the way to work even though OH was driving I kept holding my breath every time we stopped at a light or the traffic slowed down in case we could not stop .

Quiet weekend for me resulted....cleaned out daughters wardrobe while she visited her grandparents (boy she collects a lot of stuff!) and just general housework.

Hope everyone is well for a Monday morning (Monday here anyway!)

Phew got here at last.

Busy day got podiatry visit this afternoon and then visiting M-I-L.

Its nice and sunny here and I don't have any washing to do typical :-)

Gracie you will be nervous for a while after that fright with the car. Have you told the police?

It's really odd being at home during the day. Got shed loads done, got even more to do

Well. That's daughter's and our bedrooms carpets done!! Am crackered. The machine is good, but hauling it up and down stairs is not funny... :-(



I know what you mean Gins.....I can usually find something to do too......... :-D

Oooerrr ! - There has been a catastrophy !!!

I have just 'polished off' 2 litres of white wine in about 15 minutes !!! :-0 :-0

Unfortunately it is all over the kitchen floor and NOT in my 'tum' !! ;-) :-D

Hubby bought one of those boxes of wine at the Supermarket this afternoon and I pourned myself a glass to have with my evening meal.

I put the box into the fridge and went into the Lounge while the meal was in the oven.

When I went back into the kitchen the floor was covered in 'water' coming from under the fridge or freezer !

The doors were closed so I had not left one open and I then saw a steady drip coming from the fridge.

I opened the door and found that the wine box was ' leaking for England' :-( :-( - It was not 'water', it was wine :-0 :-( and the floor was covered in it!

We soaked it up with lots of tea towels and kitchen roll and hubby had to mop the floor 'coz I am too 'wheezy' today :-(

You can tell he had never used a mop before as he took it straight uot of the bucket and onto the floor without wringing it.

The floor is even wetter now but at least it is clean ;-) :-D :-D

Have come up here to let it dry before I can go back in there - Dinner will be rather late today ;-)

I poured the remaining wine into a water bottle and there was only about 1 litre left :-( :-(

If it wasn't for all my 'meds' I might just drink the lot!

It 'did' smell like a brewery Ginns but it smells of floor cleaner now ;-) :-D :-D

it was our anniversary, but we can't go out to dinner until tomorrow (Tuesday) night ....... our favouritest place is closed on Mondays.

Our NZ visitor returns tomorrow ......... so she will join us for dinner.

The thing is, did it clean your floor better than your average floor cleaner?????


Looks as though I had better get something together before I finish my carpet cleaning....and yes Dea, I was totally cream crackered!!
