We are going to shops to buy a DVD for GD to go with her birthday present.

My friend told me about "the elf on the shelf" series of products.

I googled it and loved it have ordered the toy and book and am going to Argos to get the DVD as it is so much cheaper.

Have a look at it ladies grandchildren will love it back later

Glad you are feeling better. You seem to be having a mixed bunch of weather lately. :-S :-S


Mind you, I think we are in for some sunshine for the next two days and then back to normal autumnal type chill. Who knows? Anyway, we just have to take whatever comes don't we? :-D


Was cream crackered last night after that early start........and was woken this morning by what I thought was thunder :-0

Nope. It was the window cleaner hurling his ladders against the window sills :-|

Going to take some stuff to the charity shop this morning and then iron, iron, iron and iron.............happy days... :-D :-D

This is the week of the visitors for us.

We knew that daughter and her son were arriving on Friday night for a week .......... I bought the ticket for them :-D

She wanted to travel red-eye, so they arrive at 11:30 pm at night, which will actually be about 3:30 am their time.

Then we knew about the friends who emailed some weeks ago to ask if they could stay for the night on the next night ............. offered the hide-a-bed in the computer room, they said they liked that bed, and anyway they would like to see daughter and grandson. We knew they will arrive about 11:30 pm Saturday after having been to the theatre to see "War Horse"


We did NOT know that OH's sis would ask to come stay from Wednesday until Friday!!

She has been down here since Sunday 22nd and saying with her son, having some follow-up tests done at the Cancer Agency. She saw a gastroenterologist on Monday morning, and he wants to do a colonoscopy on Thursday morning ........... it's actually the same guy that OH goes to.

So she wants to move over to stay with us so that OH can take her and pick her up, and we can watch her.

We do not know what time she will arrive here on Wednesday!


That will be I think every set of sheets in use ........ anyone else comes, they will get a very interesting mix of odds and sods that I have in the linen cupboard!!

A mauvish fitted sheet and a bright yellow flat sheet, with purplish-mauve pillow cases, for example :-D

No idea how I ended up with such a mish-mash :-S

I am a plank!! I typed a comment out on here last night, and forgot to submit it. got sidetracked and .................. :-S Had had a really busy day and was all over the place.

Sylvs........it sounds as though you are running a B & B! You'll get away with the mauve and yellow as some people often put them together anyway... ;-)


We don't have any spare beds now that OH has his adjustable bed in the front bedroom. Anyone who wants to stay will have to sleep with me!!! I suppose I could be kind and sleep downstairs and let someone else have the bed..... :-)


It's not cold here but there's no sun......just greyness.

Another busy day.........my poor little head is spinning. Lots of typing involved so my eyes are revolving!!

Our usual 'visitor's' daughter called tonight bless her. She has so much on her young shoulders. :-(
