Hi everyone,

No 2 son phoned and asked if OH wanted to go a walk in the park with him and the girls. He did.

I got about 3 hours peace to catch up on my programmes :-)

I am now psyching myself up for the horrible prep for my CT Colonography on Wednesday :-(

Somehow I think I will be staying home tomorrow ;-)

Nipped up to church this evening and ended up chatting to a couple of friends for ages. :-D

Now it is time for bed - night all......~~~

About to get colder where I live.

After many years loyal service my old central heating boiler has had a nervous breakdown and is being replaced. The fitter is due in the next few minutes to start the job which he predicts will take 2 days so no heating or hot water for the next couple of days. Think of me sitting at the keyboard swathed in blankets. :-(

Why don't boilers have the good grace to pack up in the summer rather than in the winter? Ours has not got an excuse as it is on throughout the year heating the house in winter and the swimming pool in the summer. Bad show I say.

Dea

Dea Report 21 Jan 2014 08:37

Well, it's certainly not 'spring-like' here - there has been another VERY hard overnight frost and everyhere is white :-(

Have filled the warmers with scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, fried bread, tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans and the porridge is on the hob ;-)

Plenty of toast, fresh fruits, cereals etc on the side.

Help yourselves........

OOeerr - 2 breakfasts..............

It's a bit like buses isn't it? You wait for hours for one and then 3 come at once (Or, so I am told as I am always in my car ;-) :-D :-D )

Thanks Cynths,

Oh I have been up since silly o'clock starting my prep for tomorrow. I can't look at all that lovely breakfast :-(

Jonesey hope all goes to plan with the boiler. They do always seem to pack up in the winter don't they. Ours died in the middle of that really bad winter a few years ago.

It was over 5 days before we got it replaced they tried to repair it twice then had to get the replacement.

It was so cold you could see your breath on the air we had to go and buy electric heaters. Hope yours is back on soon :-D

What I always find strange is that I am never hungry wonder why :-D

When I get home tomorrow I will treat myself to some of my lovely Lindt chocolates.

I might even share them ;-)

Jonesey hope you have some heaters.

It is cold and wet and has been dark all day here :-(

Dea Report 21 Jan 2014 16:17

I always take an 'emergency sandwich' and maybe a choccy bar or cereal bar to the hospital with me Linds so that I can eat them in the car on the way home ;-) :-D

I did take some of the peanut ones to Liverpool with me and had yours in my handbag then forgot to give you them.

Gins and myself enjoyed them though ;-)

I will list the different flavours when I leave some on the table tomorrow :-)

Off to take the last of the stuff!!
