Mornin all~~~~

Linds <3

As I woke yesterday morning, I reached for a glass of water and knocked the entire contents down the back of my bedside drawers......

..............last night, sat at the pc, I reached for a drink of water and knocked the entire contents down over the desk

What's that about!

Kettle is on, muffins and crumpets in the oven

Dea

Dea Report 22 Jan 2014 08:21

Thanks for the cuppa Ginns <3 I will nibble on a crumpet while I make a start on the rest of the breakfast... :-D

Sausages, bacon, poached eggs, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried bread....................

Porridge is bubbling away on the hob.

Fresh fruits, yoghurts, cereals etc. on the side.

Help yourselves everyone.

Good morning all! :-D

DEA! Such naughty words first thing in the morning! You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Tuts and double tuts!

Fried Bread - simply scrumptious :-D

Gins, either get your eyes tested or get a spill-proof cup! Obviously old age is settling in good and proper!

Bedroom cleaning today, but that doesn't take long and off to a local mill for a wander round. I will be making my way to the curtain department as I have been looking for new curtains for about 3 years....... :-(

Mind you, haven't mentioned that to himself yet!!! ;-)

Hopefully a reasonably relaxed day.........

Jonesey? Have you warmed up yet? :-D

Dea Report 22 Jan 2014 09:09

OOhh Cynthia - you had me worried there :-0 I had to re-read my last message thinking I had made a 'naughty' typo in there somewhere, then I realised what you meant ;-) :-D

Typo's have always worried me since I first starting typing many years ago. I would often touch on the key to the side of the one I meant to type and I lost count of the number of letters I would type with 'Yours faithfully' at the end where I had typed in a double 'k' instead of a double 'l' !!! :-0 :-0

Thankfully I always checked through them and so never sent any out (at least I hope I didn't ;-) ) :-D :-D

It did mean a lot of re-typing or tipexing though as it was the 'old typewriter' in those days :-(

Tippex!!! Those were the days weren't they Dea? Also the round erasers for scrubbing out an error. :-D

Linds, glad it's all over with now.....wish you had mentioned the chocolate earlier.....I've just eaten a bag of Minstrels........and I'm being weighed next week. Help!!! :-(

Jonesey dear, so glad to know that you poor old bones are being heated again. You'll be 'hot stuff' before you know it! :-D

Went to the mill and returned with a pair of shoes, a pill timer and a liquid measure! Of course, it was necessary to pause for a mocha and a tea cake before resuming our ambling around :-D

Dithered over some curtains but............ :-S

I'll surprise myself one day and actually buy some!!!

OH is watching the new(ish) Batman film......very dark...not at all like the previous versions.

Have been helping a friend with her family tree. How do I tell her that her gt.gt. grandfather was a murderer????? May be best left unsaid??

I will sleep on it. There are some things it is better not to know I suppose.

Night night......

Oh joy! Woke up this morning warm as toast and sweating like a tunky pig (Black Country expression). Before anyone comments I'm fairly sure that it was sweat. ;-) My central heating system is obviously now in a more healthy condition than my bank balance but that's the price that we have to pay for our comfort.

Disposing of the old boiler was easy enough. The installer carried its remains to the end of my drive and left them there. Within 20 minutes it was all gone, collected by one of the many scrappers who patrol the road on a daily basis. They obviously make a good living doing so or else they wouldn't bother. No doubt within the next few days the boilers metal components will be on their way to China where they will be melted down and recycled into some piece of useless junk which will eventually find its way back here or turn up in Australia or North America. Still probably better that than rusting away in some landfill site in rural England.

Morning all.......thanks Gins..... :-D

So glad you are as warm as toast now Jonesey..... :-D It's funny you have said about the boiler being picked up quickly. I only commented to OH the other day, that I had never seen so many clapped out pickups loading with junk travelling around before!

I think the rain has been trying to get through the glass of the windows this morning.....it's been SO noisy!

Housework, town and then take friend out (hahaha - in this weather?). Back later.
