re moderators not working

I reported that second thread of Debbie's as soon as I saw it last night, say about 6 or 7 am UK time

I had an email from GR thanking me for my report and saying it had been deleted ............... sent at about 11:30 am UK time

so some of them must work weekends.

I've also reported thread number 3, so we'll see what happens. Just hope it keeps off the front page.

re old friends

I have an old friend living in Australia, we started grammar school together at the age of 11

I don't see her for years on end, and she is very bad at sending letters (not even sending Christmas cards most years!) .

............. but when we do meet up, we pick up right where we left off

She's just about to move back to the UK though (after almost 50 years in OZ), to live with her sister in Northern Ireland. She has Parkinson's, and has no-one else in OZ. She has been depending on a friend's sister to care for her for the last 4 years ... her husband died in 2001, her daughter died in late 2005, and her son died in 2007.

Tell the truth...
This has all started to come about (getting together with missing friends)cos Bezzies ex hubby who she is still close to and he to her is on life support and has been for the last week..
Another reason I have not been here as much as usual..

One is in trouble,,we are all in trouble and we support...and in my case it has mended a few things cos its thrown us all back together,,,Again...We all started out together in c1973
Beggar better make it to see what he has done for the rest of us is all I can say.

I could not tell you all before as I was too upset...

Now sod off with the sympathy cos thats not what Im after

Been doing one of our friends tree a bit to help keep my mind off things. My natural father is Scottish he says..Yea right..Today I proved to him that his father was born Cumberland ,and his grandfather and his Greatgrandfather..!
Stewart may be your family name..but I still havent connected you to over the border yet, even if you did marry in the Stewart Clan Tartan..!

Fans

thank you

I'm just hoping that she has made the right decision ....... sometimes choosing family over long-time friends is not the right thing

B, in this case, has made matters worse for herself by wanting to stay on the same small farm she moved to about 15 years ago, way outside a small town ................ understandably, as she built the house, BUT longer time friends are where she used to live, close to Sydney.

Plus, I believe she has had a falling out with her brother (or brother's wife) who lives in Qld

To be honest Sylvs...I would choose this "not blood" family I have to spend my last days with..Not that I dont love my blood family, course I do,but they dont know ME like these people do ..A couple of us already decided that a few years back..I guess thats why its now coming around cos the first one is in deep doo doo at the hosp..
