So they'll all be mystified when they come back, won't they now?

Bef Oda.

She cut off funding to a highly reputable NGO operated by a bunch of religious types (they had an Anglican archbishop speaking for them at one TV thing I saw) because, gasp, they think the Palestinians have suffered enough.

She did it by inserting the word "NOT" in handwriting into the letter stating they had been granted funding, making it NOT granted -- AFTER the letter was signed by everybody.

She's a moron and a useless bit of trash stuck to the shoe of the Canadian electorate. A Conservative, of course.

Oh lord, this is funny and it comes from the trashy Toronto Sun even.

http://www.torontosun.com/news/canada/2011/03/01/17450666.html

OTTAWA - Opposition politicians hoping to peg Bev Oda as an evil cabinet minister destroying democracy may have better luck convincing Canadians that she is a dictator in a foreign country.

In a recent Abacus Data poll on Oda and the controversy surrounding her, some Canadians thought she was, among other things, the Tunisian prime minister or the president of Lybia.

Oda is, in fact, a Conservative MP and the minister of international co-operation. In recent weeks, there have been calls for her resignation over claims she misled Parliament over her decision not to fund a church-backed charity group.

In the poll released Friday, 56% of Canadians knew who Oda was, and only 54% could say why she was in trouble.

That same poll of 1,002 adult Canadians turned up some interesting responses as to who people think Oda is.

Respondents pegged Oda as the Tunisian prime minister, Egypt's president, Libya's president, a premier, the Liberal minister of culture, an NDP MP, the Green Party leader and a minister who wears dark glasses.

So if you're a nonentity Conservative junior cabinet minster, even committing actual forgery doesn't catch anybody's attention in Canada.

Different rules apply to Helena Guergis -- by whom?

I say line her and Oda up, take aim, and fire them.

Along with the disgusting Conservatives involved in the entire mountain of corruption their party gets up to in Quebec. Not even the Liberals managed to smear themselves with quite that amount of really bad s**t.

Agreed but was trying to show hypocrisy of "the harpur government" Guergis was tossed under the bus ... no protection but i guess because the Imm minister named before boasted "we cut the funding......." Oda gets protected never having to answer any questions ... should be interesting to see the testimony of Ms Ouimet .... just read her replacement must meet with shrink before being considered .... maybe cabinet ministers ???? Rhetorical of course as we have no cabinet ministers just puppets
