Anyone know the best cleaner for these LCD screens please...I have tried the stuff that is recommended and it looks worse than before I started..Warm soapy cloth?

Ouch Cyn....Cheaper to buy a new Lappie ,or send it Mr B the Polish employee at the parental farm,he will fix most electrical stuff for a bottle of Vodka..
Many times we have offered money for mending things,he always says..Bottle of Voka Please....You pay parts...

Mind you Ja...x,

I don't understand why you do not have the usual tax allowance which is much higher ???

Dont feel you need to put details on here as it is 'personal' but are you sure your coding is correct??

I dont work Dea all I get is Employment support allowance based on my NI contributions so that could stop at anytime knowing this government plus a small pension from a bank I once worked for. So they have added the two together and I get taxed on the extra bit over the £7400 ish

Jax

t means you can have income of £2830 before paying tax as opposed to £1720

Not sure why your personal allowance has been suppressed --- the standard personal allowance -- under 65 for this fiscal year 2011/12 is
£7,475 --- therefore a code of 747 would be normal

I would ask for a calculation from the Tax Office

Renes

Renes

Renes Report 21 Mar 2011 17:48

If you add up all your income ---subtract £7,475 --- the balance left attracts tax

Currently this excess is attracting a tax at 20% ----- so you can work out exactly what tax you will pay each month

If you want any help --- Just ask me -- happy to do it

Its all confusing Renes...they were charging me as though pension was a 2nd job but got that changed and if I only pay £1 a month I will be happy.
They cannot charge tax on benefits I believe

To be clear --- if your private person is less than £7,475 per annum --- you should pay nothing

I am not an expert on benefits ( people on benefits dont usually need Accountant ) -----

But it would seem on the face of it -- they are indeed counting ESA as income --

I am not exactly clear --- but it could be -- that they are deducting ESA from the £7,475 --- and leaving a balance of c £2830 ( unused Personal Allowance ) ---- to be set against the private pension ---- hence the code 283 ----therefore any Private Pension greater than the £2830 will be taxed at 20%

So in essence the ESA is not "taxed" but it is deducted in entirety from the Personal Allowance --- thereby increasing the Taxation paid on the excess ----

It is a smoke and mirrors trick -------------exactly the same is done with Old Age Pensions -- or whatever they are called now

Yes the pension is £2848 so I should only be paying tax on the difference....yes?

Thats theory ----- so £3.60 per year !!! -----20% of £18.00

Hardly worth the paper work ----------

Remember when Politicians stand at the Ballot box and state no tax on Pensions and Benefits --------they do not say --- but we take all we pay you off your personal allowance -----------

-So the whole country --- men women and children under 65 have a personal allowance of £7,475 -------

Except for all Pensioners and persons in receipt of benefits !!!!!!!!!

Renes

Pleased for you ----- I would seriously check your last years tax of 20 quid a month ---- the PA was £6,475

deduct your ESA and --then subtract the difference from your little pension ------ whats left over you pay at 20% per annum on ----- work it out sweetie
