I don't do religion, HID is a bit the same and has been outcaste by his church going and sister marrying a vicar family...plus he has been divorced twice ....did'nt go down too well with them.

I have no problems with others having beliefs, but dont force it on me.

I went to sunday school as a kid parents encouraged it maybe thats why my sister came along when I was 11 having sunday mornings to themselves lol

Do people really have only one fb account? It seems that the one that got banned wasn't the one that has posted. Nyuk Nyuk.

And interestingly, the one that got banned is the one that fb itself closed on me a few weeks ago (obviously some similar idiot decided to make some sort of report to fb) -- but after I kept replying to fb emails telling me I had messages, and demanding to know how I as supposed to read them if I was denied access to my account, suddenly today I had access again! Fat lot of good it will do me. ;) And I can't read the messages anyhow, except that there was one from the J person saying "sad but true" to Ms H on her page, whining about something ...

I did think of taking out an account in my maiden name, set up another gmail account, but then couldn't seem to get the new account!

I think we ought to set up a GR page for people who actually use the site and enjoy helping people....Then throw off all the people we do not like.

How many of those 12000+ people really use this site...not many I would think

OH goes to church every Sunday that we are in town.

His sister is an Anglican priest, trained after retiring at age 55 from teaching


No-one I know ever bothers me about the fact that I don't go to church



None of our friends ever talk about their beliefs ..... we have some who are very religious, but they treat it as their business, and my non-belief as my business.



JC .... we get the Chinese and Filipeno Baptists from the church across the street. There are 3 groups have services there .................... a Chinese church, the Canadian Baptists (who actually own the property), and the Filipeno Baptists.

The Canadian Baptists are hanging in there by the skin of their teeth ..... they haven't had a minister for over 10 years because they are too small to be able to afford to pay one. The manse (a lovely 1920's house) stands empty, no-one living in it, although members of all 3 churches seem to use it as a meeting place. Renting space to the other 2 churches helps all 3.

About once a year either the Chinese or the Filipeno decide to do a sweep of the neighbourhood.


I guess we are about due for another one as I don't think we saw any last year.


The Canadians don't bother!


They know that we will keep an eye on the property .... and that we will attempt to contact them if we see anything amiss.

That's just being good neighbours ......... it's right across the street from our kitchen and study windows.



They have the most magnificent magnolia tree between the church and the "manse". It rises above the guttering on the roof of the 3 storey house.
