Trust you two to try and spoil my fun. It's all done in the best possible taste of course. I went to the gym, but gym was out, thats why I went to the pool instead. ;-) *execise is good for you Stephen. The swimming instructor said I should try the diving, so next week he said I am to try the high board, I am not sure what he meant by that though, he will have me jumping through hoops before I know it.

Hello everyone, nice and sunny here today so thought I would clean out shed as it was pretty disgusting. I tackled some huge spiders and webs and threw out a load of junk hoarded by OH in case it came in handy. :-S It seems really empty now but I'm pleased it's done. Had Alexa my youngest granddaughter stay last night, she is very into gardening and loves to help me water and weed, even has her own little gardening tools and gloves. She was so excited to see our tomatoes, cucumbers, and runner beans doing well. She is so much fun but exhausting, I must be getting old :-P I have 686 in my GR tree. Most are verified but a few still need a bit of work including "the mysterious grandfather". Hope everyone is well and enjoying their weekend, Linda I hope your dad is ok. <3 <3 <3

Hi Everyone Rita have a lovely time with your family in Norfolk. Hope the weather is kind to you.
I think Liz is away too, have a nice break.
Cath thanks for asking after my Dad, yesterday was just obs still, they said Monday earliest................. but now looking longer Wednesday at least before he can go home.
Unfortunately Mum's sugar levels dropped in the respite care. So my brother took her to hospital they then kept her in last night, seeing the Dr today. I guess she won't be out before Monday at the earliest.
Family are keeping me informed and I ring my sister and cousin, who then rings Dad's brother and his aunt too. My hubby is still on late shift til Monday so I can't get across as who wants me til midnight before I can be picked up.
I have been shopping this morning and then to the DIY where we got the paper for our feature wall in the spare bedroom, pale lilac paint for the other 3 walls and the usual bits and pieces you always need.
I have just rubbed the walls down where the paint lifted with the old wallpaper.
Earlier I mowed the back lawn.
Now I am going to rest a bit and knit some more. I might paint the ceiling if I feel up to it.
Enjoy the evening everyone
Linda :-) <3

Here she comes, her royal majesty. Thanks for the crown, Mo. ;-)
Linda I do hope your parents feel a bit better soon.
Right, now I have cracked the whip a bit, I can relax.
Rita, have a lovely time. Tell us all about it when you come back. Not long til your Isle of Wight jaunt too.
After my bike ride this morning, I didn't see Stephen by the way, he must have been just ahead of me. I went shopping for grub. Came home and went shopping for meeeeeeeeeeeeee. :-)
I bought myself a couple of summer tops in Hennes. As shop I usually pass straight by, but something caught my eye, and I exited plus two cotton tops. Hurrah.
It has been quite grey here, spitting with rain on and off. :-(
See you later.

Thanks girls for your good wishes for my litle holiday. I loved living in Norfolk I only moved down south as it was long journey for the kids when I was ill and with all the traffic it got worse. I did so much more excersie when I lived there. I went ballroom dancing twice a week and country and western dancing twice a week as well as long walks every day with my dog. Here I dont do anything like, maybe walk around the lake now and again when the weather is OK. so I am putting on so much weight. I go to the Isle of wight next month 9th July on a coach trip with my sister for a week.and can call in and see some friends of mine who have lived there for 30 years. also my husbands cousin. who I have not seen since my wedding and that was along time ago,
tomorrow would have been my husbnd 84 th birthday how time passes.

I hear there are a lot of 'Broads' in Norfolk. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Just had a Great Niece visit for the first time. We spent a good while going over the Family History.......I think she may have caught the bug. She was actually crying when we met at first, she said I looked so much like her Grandad, my brother, who died when she was a lot younger.
Hope this finds you all well.
Time for shower, supper then bed.
Night all ! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Did you ever hear the tale about the only record of someone dying from baldness - a subject of some personal concern?
Well, if you really - and I mean really - want to hear the rest of the story, I'll be happy to oblige. But, I'd sit down first if I were you & empty your mind completely of dull worries like cooking & washing-up. Go on - relax for a moment in your favourite chair. You wont regret it.
I love a big build-up to a story - so, here goes.
Aeschylus, a Greek playwright, was reputedly killed when an eagle dropped a tortoise on his bald head mistaking it for a rock.
There you are now. Don't you feel better already? Where's me coat?

That eagle must have been quite a good shot!
Stephen, do you often have that effect on young girls?........Causing them to weep!
Hope you have a nice time meeting up with your siblings Yvonne.
Rita, now's your chance to go out dancing............ make up for lost time.
Linda, when I read your post - I thought 'My God woman, sit down and relax for a while', but then I saw that Marilyn had already said it.
I read that as well Pat............. at least he admits it.

Morninall Stephen you have stollen the sun!!! LOL Sorry if you need it you can have it today. But I had hoped to cut the front grass. Not looking too hopeful just now. Think youngest will be bringing a soggy tent home from her weekend away !!!
Mum is not too good and she is very confused. She said she was at the school she worked in as a secretary................... but she retired nearly 20 years ago. Oh how I wish I could just pop in and see her. Mum and Dad are so close and never without each other. Now they are in different hospitals and 30 miles from me. As I don't drive and hubby is working I can't get to see them. Youngest is away, son is also away in Spain(he doesn't know they are ill either) and eldest has work commitments to the YMCA as a manager and also working shifts.
Woe is me, sorry feeling a bit down, can't let hubby see I am upset as he can't change my parents illnesses.
Will pop back later when I have cheered up a bit.
