Afternoon all

Had a lovely day at sister's yesterday it rained all day but we sat on the sofa with a cuppa and caught up with the gossip, popped into my brother's too. My older sister was away, she and her OH have a caravan in Dymchurch, they go there most weekends.
Between showers sister and I went to the church and put new flowers on Mum and Dad's grave.
Mo we didn't go to Bluewater, we didn't have any money to spend! :-(

Dog has been in the vets today having her ear sorted out, she has a blockage inside going to pick her up about 4

I knew my grandparents except my Mum;s dad, he died when mum was 14. My Dad's parents lived in the same road as us. When mum was working we would go to their house after school

Awww Dermot, we are a friendly bunch aren't we :-D I think we all get along because we are respectful and thoughtful of others. I am so glad I joined the 'friendly thread' and met you all. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if it differs from ours, so what. Life is too short to bear grudges and tolerance should be the name of the game. Long live the friendlies <3

Talking about 'life', will anyone be watching 'Choosing to die' on BBC2 this evening @ 9pm followed by a Newsnight debate hosted by Jeremy Paxman.

A difficult subject for some.

Don't know whether I want to watch it or not. The man involved lived here on the island. I think it is such an emotive subject and definitely one that needs to be looked into. I do believe any individual should have the right to die by their own hand if they are terminally ill and choose to do so while they still can, but I do have reservations about it as well. It must be a very difficult situation to be in.

I'll give the programme a try but if it gets too sad I'll turn it off.

Evening all
Well BP is down Yippee, the nurse said I am almost normal ........ whatever that might mean !!!LOL
Next check Friday. Tomorrow it's the dietician, she won't be pleased as my weight is about the same again, I cannot seem to get it down at all.

Mum has had a CT scan today, but insulin levels still out of control so staying in for a while yet. No news on Dad so far today.

I have just cut the front grass as it dried off today thank goodness.

Little M was good today if pushing boundaries with her "demands" rather than thank you and please requests. But I think we will get the pleses and thank yous back. She can't understand all the changes going on around her.

Mo have started another jumper as I sewed up the other one. Last day of late shift and then 3 days off. Thank goodness.

We will be going up to Middlesex tomorrow and go to see both parents in hospital, relieving my brothers and sister.

Enjoy what remains of the evening

Linda :-) <3

Thank you Pat, hubby will be driving so I will be fine. I don't drive.

Yes I said to the nurse it was surprising as I had more stress now than when the Dr first checked my BP and found it high.

I remember in 1998 when I had my blood pressure checked and the doctor commented on it.. I think it was becuase I was getting stressed watching England in the World Cup!

Hi all, I've been trying to get on here for hours, I've finally managed to get in through za - although it wouldn't let me in on any of them earlier, (za, nz, com, uk, au) I tried them all.

Mo can't get in either, she's been trying but gave up.

I wonder how some people get in and others don't. I don't think it has anything to do with the browsers........... not when I can get in now by using za and I couldn't earlier.

Pleased to see your BP has come down Linda, hope things improve with your parents.

Dermot, you're not wrong.

Edit: If I don't get back, you'll know I'm locked out again.

Linda glad your BP is ok, surprising when you have so much to deal with. I hope your parents can be together again soon, it must be hard for them to be apart.
Pat as a Portsmouth fan my stress levels go through the roof when I watch them play. Who said sport is good for you? lol, lol.
I am doing a charity walk on saturday evening. Its the Pink Ladies Sunset Coastal walk in aid of Breast Cancer support Group. I am only doing the short walk (3.5 miles) as I don't think my knee will cope with the longer route, my 9 year old granddaughter is going to do it with me. It's a cause dear to me as I lost a good friend to breast cancer 17 years ago and my very best friend has been battling it for 5 years. We will be dressed head to toe in pink :-D
Tomorrow I am going to try and get my grandfathers birth cert but have only approx date of birth so fingers crossed. He is driving me up the wall but I hope his parents names will help me get it.

Turns the key, and yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Back in.

What is GR doing, essential maintenance work, building brick walls? ;-)

Good Morning, back in again.

The sun is shining, and a lovely breeze. The fox cubs are tearing the gardens up. I fear there will be trouble.

I hope everyone is well. Linda trust the day goes well for you, and your parents are a little better today.

Big wave to everyone, I have not spoken to you all properly for a couple of days.

Right, now back to the exercise. A five mile run is in order I think.

See you all later. Have a good day.
