Hope to get to see Mum this afternoon. Try to get her out to the hospital and see Dad if at all possible. He is having a colonoscopy today, but don't know any times. The social workers have a meeting today too.

Just reading about the Fish pedicures Dermot....they are not good news
Medical Sciences have suggested more infections are caused due to the procedure with infected dirty water from the person before you. and the fish carry all sorts of deceases. YULK !!

They'll go out business now in these shopping Malls.

glad you got it finished, you have had decent weather , which must have been a bonus put a bed in it and a table and you can let it for the summer lol.

I went shopping this morning, will it ever end ? I ask myself ? the prices are getting over the top now. I dont think there was one item that I needed that was the same as last weeks . my friend I met while shopping wanted some roils so we brought a packet of four and split the cost having half a packet each we did the same with lettuce. I cannot understand why Waitrose prices have shot up suddenly..
They will lose customers now , people will either go without or go somewhere where they can get it cheaper.

Weather still nice but it is getting cooler.

It's a bit breezy here but a lovly blue sky.

Mo We went to Blackpool a few years ago when son was small to see the lights, it was very pretty. We stayed at a holiday park, it was so cold at night that my son wouldn't sleep in his bed he wanted to sleep with me and hia dad to keep warm.

Marilyn I got the cert for Robert Hayes who died in Dartford in 1854 and it's the wrong one :-( so it's back to the drawing board

I cant even remember your Robert ! lets have details again and see if we can look again for you.....

I never made it to work today.I felt "sniffy" when I woke up but I have to go to work tomorrow. There's a set of accounts which need sorting out.
Luckily my headache and cold have gone but I just feel tired.
I'm going to Paris this week-end and it's not one of my most intellegient ideas to organise the trip so soon after coming back from Scotland. When I booked these trips I forgot the travelling tires me out.

I think ALL the Supermarkets have hiked their prices. We wont be able to eat soon, or heat our homes.

A little bit cooler today but still not bad.

Rita, don't know about renting it out during the summer, I badly need somewhere to put all the tools etc I have collected over the years of working, hardly ever use them now, but just cant get rid of :-D :-D and your right about Waitrose prices going up, think all supermarkets are putting prices up by the back door so to speak.

Just popping in to say goodnight.
Been out for a meal with my daughter and her partner tonight. Great company, lovely food and wine but came home early as I'm feeling a bit rough. Got a sore throat starting and a headache, sniffles etc. Typical, first day back at work today so don't feel like I can phone in sick tomorrow. Hot toddy and an early night and hope I feel better in the morning.
Pat I hope you are on the mend and can enjoy your trip to Paris at the weekend.

Evening all. I have been watching Tv this evening. I have had a laugh I was watching Holby City (Hospital in case you dont know )

Mr Hanssen who runs the hospital was trying to attend to a black boy who was very ill. He said to someone who was helping .him . "we are losing him, and if we lose him he will die "can you beleive it.? I wonder if someone will pick that up for "Points of View " on a sunday.

I often find I pick up wrong remarks on some if these shows.

sorry your not that well Cath hope your feel betting in the morning. it has got very cold out., I had to shut all my windows but I will open the bedroom one when I go to bed at 10.

George my husband gather tools during his working life and we had a big double garage in Norfolk two great big benches and he use to moan he had no room to put new tools he would buy, he would not get rid of any incase he needed them when he died I gave all his power tools to the boys and my son in law I then gave two barrow loads to a friend who was a fireman.he was always doing jobs. the garage also contained two canoes and half a dozen surfboards..

Managed to "kidnap" my Mum from the care home and took her to see my Dad. Very emotional.
Dad is very unwell
There is a family meeting tomorrow. My brothers will ring me with any info they are given.
No news yet on the care home
