Morning All.

Now I must be stupid then, as I lived in London 28years and never heard of tatto's in jackets !!

Now If I were to say that to my boys that are Londoners, do you want a tatter potato, they would put my name down for the nearest nursing home..LOL

Mo I was gripping the edge of my chair last night when the mole was slowly putting them veggies & bread in the pool, gosh I would have done it in seconds then did a runner.
But yes its brewing a bit in there.
I quite like Sunshine I think she thought of their belly's instead of their beauty

That said....now its lovely and sunny here in Devon.so I might pop into town for a few bits.

Thought I'd tell you that someone put up a good offer on General stating whilst the English team play a game at any time ...FIND MY PAST has offered their services FREE to anyone you can view half an hour before the game starts and for the duration of the game.
You have to register with them first.......So I did and wow I can view records at my content tonight as its the first time England are playing !! how good is that ???

Bath time .......

I have had a very busy week, show on Saturday then 5 days of getting up at 03:30 as I was the boss of the farm then a show yesterday. I m now enjoying a day of nothingness!

We thought we were on the move but 7 weeks after an offer was accepted by us, the rat bag backed out. This means we have now lost the house we made an offer on!!!!! We thought after 5 weeks in to we would be safe to start looking...but no!!! We will now wait until the dosh is in our posession before looking for a house.

Mo
They got him up for few minutes it is suppose to help his insides he had pains in his spine and shoulders as well but he was so good they let him sit there till he had enough. we do not know what he will be like today.but hope he is getting al ittle better.

He is in a private section of the hospital and has a nurse and doctor with him all the time they must not leave him on his own at all.

when l was in Norfolk l had to have a major Gallstone operation and they got me up the day after my operattion and l was in agony but they made me sit there for a couple of hours they said it was for the best..

I have been and collected my glasses this morning after my son left l thought l might as well go in to Town. l only went to specsave and caught the bus back home it was packed with shoppers l did not tell my son l was going he would have said he would take me but l thought if there were not many people in the hair dresses l would get mine done but there were about 6 waiting so i did not bother.
There was a Scotsman with his bagpies nearby l thought my Mother in Law would have loved to hear him playing
l have an ancestor from Perth in Scotland who use to play the Bagpipes he played in Edinbough castle. if you google The Scottish pipes you will find him there is a picture of him 1890 l think it was .? his name is John McCallum

Oh my god Shelly,I could not cook that recipe,I think I would be sick.
Yep spam fritters or corned dog hash (corned beef). That was done with tatters mashed up,and corned dog mashed into it, then fried in the frying pan.
You can tell we are bored cant you. Only half hour till BB.
Thanks for sending the recipe though.

Morning.

Mo l have bubble an d Squeak nearly every Monday as l do the washing monday it is quick to do l have corned beef or and egg with it.
l Love corned beef fritters and span fritters we had them a lot during the war l do them from time to time now,
My husbands favourites were pie and mash and Jellied EELs in a ligure l shudder to think of it other than that he was also big meat eater steaks with and egg on top things like that.

In my Dads book he mentions going to the butchers with a pie basin and a couple of coppers and rattling them outside the butchers shop he knew Mr Rumble the Butcher Dad said he was a big cheerful ruddy faced man he saw the poverty that was around at the time so always tried to help the poor families.he mentions he was there to buy Faggots with onions and he said he had a tray of mashed potato's and pease pudding on a bench over a heated pad.so Dad rattled his coins so Mr Rumble would hear him. he use to call to my Dad and Said" Arnold what do you want to day ? "Dad said as if he did not know and smiled. Dad said he handed his two pennyworth of coins over to the Butcher and Mr Rumble with make a show counting out the coins and putting them into his cash till then he filled his large bason with five Faggots a heap of mashed potato's and onions and peas pudding and sometimes two sausages Dad said The Butcher use to say how sad it made him to see the children going hungry .Dad said l t ried to help him for being so kind so he use to go to the local timber yard and ask for the saw dust from their cross cut saw and he filled an old barrow up with it and took it too the Butcher as he had sawdust on the floors and he always kept the floor covered with fresh sawdust.
. sorry l seem to have gone on a bit but thought you might like to know.

have a good day
Love Rita

We country bumpkins down here had foreign food to you lot up the line as we called you in London !!

Fancy chatting without ME last night Shelly & Mo ......I had visitors late last night telling me about their holidays.

I taped big brother and watched it early this morning, I think its going to blow up any day now ..LOL

Lovely day today again.

I tried that Find My Past while the footie was on and only got one result it was a waste of time as EVERYONE was on it !!
So was glad I had my friends call around late as I was hoping to find out more about my lot ..

Think I'll sit in the garden today, and snooze ..LOL
