Rita Report 27 Sep 2010 10:17

Shelly your up then. ? I bet you felt tired after yesterdays workout.

I could work out harder when I was younger . I have to stop and

sit down and think what I should do next,

a fuzzy brain needs oiling.

just sorted what I am having for dinner today I like to get everything

planned before hand. I use to drive the family mad at times every bill or

letters that needed to be kept had to be filed. they knew when they

wanted a receipt or letter I could always fine it right away.

I suppose that came with my working in an office.

so I plan what needs to be done what food I am having that day

It is like an Army rota.

Lol

Morning all. It's horrible here, dark and wet.

Good luck Jean, hope it's not too bad for you, we're all thinking of you.

You training again Shelly? You must have the floor routine perfect by now. Don't overdo it though, can't have any more injuries.

Rita, I've only been to Edinburgh a couple of times, I liked it but I haven't been for years.

Maddie, you told them it was baking powder? And they believed you? You must have an innocent face to be able to get away with that.

Thanks for the breakfast Stephen, I ate everything but the prunes........don't like them.

That he/she is the Russian Shot Putter. Now you know what competition you've got.

Mo tried to drive home in the dodgem car last night, she didn't have far to go, so I just left her to it.

You would have done well in the army Rita. Maybe we should put you in charge of organizing the trip to the games.

Rita

Rita Report 27 Sep 2010 10:36

Pauline I dont think so. I had enough of organizing with my Scout group took two coach loads of Scouts and Parents to France for a long weekend. it was a nightmare.
you always get people who wander off when you ask them not too. or ask them to tell you where they intend going ? when the coaches stop for a break.and you tell tham what time they must be back to the coach because your on a time-table..
you get two who are missing and you wait . two go out to look for them . that means four are mssing. two more go out and the four missing come back the other two are still still missing
you are late by an hour getting to where your suppose to be.

Mind you the whole trip was very good they all enjoyed it and asked me to set another one up in a couple of months time which I did.

LOL Rita, must have been a nightmare, you could always tie a long piece of rope to everyone's wrist and just pull them back when it was time for their event.

Shelly,

Have the Police let you go after what you did to that young lad yesterday?

You're trying to slip past us and head off for 'training'.

Come on....tell us....what were you up to in the Linen Cupboard?

Ah Well....time for a bit more work.##

See ya later.

Rita Report 27 Sep 2010 15:59

Pauline
I could not tie ropes around them a lot of the parent were police officers, and Fireman as well as one who worked at the Passport office and was on of the top people. we had so many who had good jobs they did a lot for the scots. our Committee had three fire officers the Guy from the Passport office and two drug squard officers as well as two other policemen
The trouble was the other parents who did not do alot for the scout group where the ones that arrived back late. we had made arrangement for a meal a lovely restaraunt and we arrive half and hour late and that was trying to make the time up. I got my own back though they ordered off the menu and a few ordered from it and I didnt tell them till they had eaten their meal what they had ordered. they said that was lovely and so tender I said I never eat Horse meat. you should have seen their faces. they laughed thinking I was joking. I w as not. I dont speak french only bits i have picked up from my sister she speaks Italian. Spanish, French and a little German and she had told me once when we had a menu in France

I am writing this seperate to the other one. I did the laundry and went to Waitrose to get some bits of shopping. as I got to the gate that leads into the Court I saw a large lorry and they were taking one of those glass funeral carts . I watched them put bits together then the went and brought two beautiful dark horses and attached them to the cart the horses had big plumes on there heads they looked so regal. I felt like
crying. I dont know where the funeral was but it must have been local.

you use to see them alot when I was a young girl; but not so much now.

Pauline I think they still eat Horse meat in France I am going back to 1974
although I have been to Paris three times since then and passed through Paris. but I am so careful what I ordered.
In Germany I asked for a German goulash I returned it three times the meat was running with blood I cannot stand that I like everything well done the thing was they didnt speak any English .so my sister had to try and explain in German
talking about meat I brought some beef in Waitrose this morning and asked the butcher it is not Halal meat is it. ? he said goodness me no it is Scottish. I said thats OK then. every since I read about Halal meat being sold in Supermarkets and other outlets I ask now.

Mo in Kent Report 27 Sep 2010 20:10

Evening all.
Shelly, you have the right idea where the kids are concerned, hit them where it hurts, in their games consuls.
If I misbehaved as a child, I was sent to my room, where there was none of the electrical equipment the youngsters of today have.
I used to have to sit and read my books or my bible, depending how bad I had been.

Rita, my daughter in laws father had a black glass carriage, and horses for his funeral. It was beautiful, but so sad. The horses took such a long time to arrive at the creamatorium, and the traffic was horrendous behind it

Well, all this exercise is exhausting me. I hope I have got the energy for the games.
By the time I got of the flipping dodgems last night, I could not find my car.
You had all gone home. There was a police car that went flying past me, with it's lights going, and I think I saw Maddie in the back. She was waving her pom poms in the back of the car, so it must have been her.

Has anyone seen Marilyn, she's been very quiet since she's been away.

Oh and Pauline, thanks for waiting for me after the dodgems. You dissapeared very quickly. Was you chasing after the good looking guy who ran the cars. lol

I think Marilyn forgot to take her laptop with her. or Pete hid it Lol.
Stephen we are all weak after the work out. I am just having a large glass of strawberry MIlk shake to get some of my strength back.

tomorrow I am going to have a go at the High Jump to see if I can still do that. I am going across to the lake where they have a a long pole in the middle of the field so I am going to use that..

so keep your eyes on the sky around 10 oclock as I might go so high I end up on the cloud..

High Jump......of course you can still do it !!!!

Just keep saying...'I can and I will'

Mo and Shelly are still alive and kicking I see.

Pauline was alive earlier...she has probably gone for a long run and when she stops for a rest she does push ups
