I saw Jamie Oliver was on from the schools in the USA I think he has been there before and checking to see how things.have been since then..
There are so many cooking programmes on TV at the moment but they are all v ery expensive things they make as they use lots of creams and sugary items as well as using loads of herbs and herbs are not cheap to buy ether. I have a lot of herbs in my cupboard. but dont use them as much now. I have tried to get a Apple Pie spice they dont seem to do that anymore.
I use to do baking made wedding cakes and anniversary cakes little baskets of roses and football fields ones. you name it I have made it . the biggest wedding cake I made was for someone in the Savation Army four tier she would not let me put any spirit in it against there rules. I have some photo somewhere of some of the cakes.
I am going to take a book and go to bed in a while. need to get some sleep for this high jump I am going to do.
I hope Jean is OK

Watch out for swans on the lake Rita, you dont want to tangle with them they can be very viscious. Night Night all,I am cream crackered after all the twirling of my batons, and hoola hooping. Have just finished doing laps around the garden, so I am going to have a drink then up the wooden stairs to bed for me.

I know I can do it but I planned this high jump before the weather got so cold. and I am worried if I jump too high I might get frozen in space and no one will know I am up there till it rains or the weather gets warmer so I will have to wear thicker clothes. dont want to catch a cold.

497 498 499 500...............phew, that's my push-ups done for the night. It was hard work after that 10mile run. Think I need to borrow a pitman's helmet though - so I can see where I'm going, it's really dark out there. I cut across the golf course to get back home, there's all kinds of little beasties running around there, there was a fox chasing me at one point, but luckily it couldn't keep up with me.
I'm not like you Stephen, I'm not the outdoor type. After dinner I like to sit with my feet up with a glass of wine in my hand. All this hard work had better be worth it.
Rita, I think you're right about Marilyn's lappy, Pete must have hidden it from her, she doesn't usually abandon us.
I think Linda and Yvonne have abandoned us though, what's the bets they pull a sicky on the day we set off for the games?
Sorry I left you Mo but that bloke who ran the cars was such a dish I forgot all about you.
Did the police let Maddie go or was she there all night? I know she was on here this morning but haven't seen her since, maybe they came back for her.
I can't believe they only gave you 6 months renewal Shelly - after all the years you've been a member here. That's because you changed from continual. Mine expires on the 3rd of November, but I'm still on continual so I should get a year.

Hi all Stephen I have made a note of the time and date and put it into my diary,
Pauline well it is strange that Marilyn has not been intouch at all since she has been away not even on the other threads
MTG . IT is Aberdeen Angus beef I buy from Waitrose they always put the name of the meat and where it comes from over the counter.also on the package. I just asked to see what reply he would give me. I dont think a place like Waitrose would tell lies they have a big reputation to keep up.
Do you live near the Heath in Hampstead. ? my sister lives at Hampstead Heath in Hampstead Garden Suburb. reading some of your remarks I thought you must do.
well I am away to get some brekkie now. see you later. PS message to jean I hope your feeling alright this morning jean.

No MTG I didnt know that. I know that I always seem to get fresh foods from them and never had any trouble up to date. I have had to return things to Sainsburys and tesco before now. but I only shop at Waitrose now as it is near me. do you belong to the" Hampstead Histroical society "do you belong to that ? I stay with my sister four or five times a year at least and go to my favourite place "Kenwood House " we walk a round there and a cross the heath I love the art gallery they have in Kenwood,. we have a tea in the little tea rooms nearby the gardens lovely. watch the open-air concerts held near the lake. some of those houses are very beautiful and very expensive lots of stars I know live there.

I would not have looked if you had not spoke to Shelly about it. so thanks girls. Stephen I dont need a flame thrower I dont want a burnt bum. I have enough problems as it is. but thanks for offering. I would have had to spent Christmas up there.Brrrrr

POSITIVE,POSITIVE, thoughts and heart felt wishes for Steve , Rita. The poor chap has been through so much hasn't he. Thank goodness your Daughter had the forethought to get help for him.
I forgot to tell you I have renewed my membership as well. Both Shelly and I renew at the same time. I believe Sue was around the same time as us for renewal Shelly.
Don't let me forget about going to the games on Thursday, I mean the day, date and time. Rita and I are the ones who get ourselves lost most of the time,so don't go without us please.
Maddie, what time did you get away from the boys in blue the other night. Was it you I saw in the back of the police car?
Right, only another hours run to do,and then I am going to be doing my darts practise.
I will forgive you for leaving me behind Pauline, you obviously had other things on your mind. Watch out when you go for your next run, take a big stick with you you beat the beasties away. Are you sure it was a fox chasing you,and not Stephen in disguise, checking up on you, making sure you keep up with the excercise. After all, he is used to camping outside. In fact, on my last run, I was stopped by a stranger, asking for directions, hmmmm who knows.

Stephen how will we know if it is safe out there in Delhi I understand they have made no progress in the building and cleaning up. the toilets and baths and showers are a mess. and they have only a few days to go The other athlete's left and have taken all the hotel rooms up they have none left I phoned and asked a LITTLE WHILE AGO I was told there is no where at all left.I asked about Caravans and was told no space leftfor them. and all the tents have gone as well.but all the rooms in the new buildings are empty.but not finished. so you will have to send up smoke signals to let us know if we are still able to go.as we all live far a part. I am not going all that way for norhing. I will see what the others think. Marilyn won't be able to go she is atill a way.

Hello everyone, you all sound as though you are working very hard to be fit for the games, please take care and dont over do things. I will be thinking about you all and following your progress, which I'm sure will be brilliant. Had to go back to Christies this morning, I reacted very badly to the chemo so they have now said I have to have it every two weeks, which will bring us up to Christmas I think. Hope you are all ok, you will be really fit if you keep up the exercise routine you are doing. Take care and stay safe. Jean xx

Hello Jean that is rough on you. my son in law has had reaction to his medication and chemo he was rushed to hospital as it gave him a fit .I wish they could find something other than chemo that would not be so hard on people My son who is a paramedic phone me a short while ago and I told him about my son in law he said it affects people in different ways and they can change medication but not the chemo. but he thinks if you can get through that your on the right side and can put up a fight but he said you must think positive. My thoughts are with you Jean. God bless love.

Jean, I'm sorry to hear you've had a bad reaction to the chemo. The doctors told my sister that people often have a bad reaction to it when they have to have the course of treatment more than once. It's terrible but you have to continue with it because it's going to make you better. You've got a long haul ahead of you, but I hope our positive thoughts can give you some strength. You're in our thoughts every day.
Rita, you must be so worried about Steve, it's terrible that he's having fits and heart problems, he's been through so much pain. It makes you feel so bad that you can't do anything to help doesn't it? All we can do is send our positive thoughts for him and light a candle for him and Jean.

Rita, I do the same as you on my tree. I put any details that I've got about each person, I think it makes the tree come to life. When I find them on the census, I write in where they lived at time and who else lived in the house with them. Why do you think you might need to delete it?
