Must have been nice to hear all about their travels Jane . What a shame about the bed cover and cushion ,lets hope a dry clean will get rid of the pong !! Some things do pong until they have a wash , i suppose it's the dyes. All you hard work in the kitchen and no ones hungry :-(
I meant to say in the Wom*ns Weekly mag this week they had an Icelandic Adventure holiday offer ,i thought of James when i read it , £289 per person for four days /three nights at the hotel Laxnes near Reykjavik ,free trip to northern lights, free blue lagoon thermal spa visit free use of hotels hot tub and free shot of black schnapps at the hotel bar , departing until April 2015 . It's with j* tlineholidays.com

Full to the brim now and we finished off with a nice orange.
I think some things pong because of the dressing in the fabric. when I worked with mum selling dresses, coats and skirts and blouses when some of the coats came in they had a funny smell but the worst things were the linen dresses. I would be out in the garden sneezing my head off. Mum worked as a dress maker and she said when the linen came in it used to make your eyes water sometimes and that was the dressing in the fabric. Mum used to hang things on the washing line sometimes to get rid of the smells.

Mandy that sounds a real good deal on that Icelandic holiday.I haven't asked what theirs cost lol That would be too nosy !!!But I am curious :-D Mel the smell of the fabric is really strange it is almost a musky scenty smell. But one that gets right up your nose :-S.
Dinner went down very well in the end.We have just this minute finished eating.James has this disgusting drink from Iceland.Bit like a 'shot' .Strong enough to blow your socks off :-S :-S.
What total rubbish on TV for a saturday night.I think I will be off to bed shortly to have a read.I did want to see casualty but no -one else did ,so I will watch that in the morning in bed probably on my lap top while I have my cuppa :-D

Totally agree Jane. Thank heavens for ITV 3 Dr Martin, Midsummer now Lewis. I doubt I will see it to the end. The rubbish they expect you to watch (I know we have the off switch), but T.V. is part of our lives now, not like the good old days with steam Radio, Saturday night Theatre. Always a good play, that the whole family enjoyed round a roaring fire in the "BACK ROOM". Oh happy memories.
Ros seems a little better tonight. Her cough seems to have got less rough. I am still sneezing and going hot and cold.
I couldn't settle earlier, so did all the veg for tomorrows dinner, just got the pudding and gravy to do tomorrow.
Sleep tight all, and a goodnight kiss to Lewis Oliver from Uncle Frank. <3 <3 <3

Morning all and evening Kim,
Woke early and it was dark, cold and dreary went back to bed and woke to lovely sunshine and a warm house because the heating had come on.
Hope all are ok and where's our Ann. She was going to class on Friday and we've not heard from her.

Morning Mel and All, Evening Kim.
We had a bit of that white stuff in the night, it was on the lawn this morning. I have been to feed and water the birds and nearly froze my bits off !!!
Both slept well, after sitting up to midnight to watch Lewis. I went to bed and Ros went over to her Jewellery channel. So she must be feeling better ;-) ;-) ;-)
That sounds a great deal for Iceland. and in May it should be a lot warmer.
Off for my shower, see you later.

Afternoon All
Some white stuff here too :-D :-D.
Just fed Rosie the squirrel, I haven't seen her for a while but having seen her today with quite a bit of weight on her, I think the other neighbours have been feeding her too.
Glad to hear you and Ros are feeling a little better and that you both had a good nights sleep Frank.
You say Ros is the gardener, but it sounds like you do a fair bit yourself. My OH cuts the grass and like you, has stripes. He also trims the lawn edges to finish it off. He hates weeding so that's normally left to me. Although he does like taking cutting's and making new plants like me, so we have quite a few now and will be planting them into the garden as soon as they are big enough.
We have, what we call, a friendship border, which is planted up with plants and seeds (the seeds are normally free ones out of magazines) we have been given by friends and family. If we have to thin out our mature plants we give some back to our family and friends so we all end up with quite a few plants in our gardens which have costs us all nothing. It's a bit like a swap shop and keeps us all busy through the warmer months lol
I love the photo of Lewis Oliver, Mandy, what a lot of hair he has. Did your DIL have heart burn when she was pregnant, they say that's a sign the baby will have lots of hair. Don't know how true it is though :-S :-S :-S. Hope you all enjoy the 70th birthday party today, have fun.
O Ruby, what a lovely gift off your daughter and all the notes inside must of made you smile. I suppose with all the cooking and baking I do, the family will remember me for that. The Biscuits sound lovely.
The sausage rolls I made yesterday, didn't last long OH and Sandra scoff the lot last night and I didn't get any, mind you I only made a couple of dozen and they were only small. I'll have to make some more and next time have a few myself before the other two get to them first, lol.
The beef casserole was lovely and tender, I added some leaks, it was very tasty and warmed Sandra and I up, there's some left over for today.
We're not having a roast today because we had one on Friday. I de-frosted the freezer on Thursday leaving enough food for that days meal, but I lost track of days and thought it was Friday and ended up a day short for a meal, so my mum gave us a chicken to have on the Friday because I couldn't get to the shops till Saturday when OH was off work again. Hope that all made sense :-S :-S
Anyway the freezer is all stocked up now, so hopefully I won't make that mistake again :-D.
Off to get a cuppa now BBL

Ruby what a wonderful present, that memory box.Such a great idea :-D.I must remember that one :-D My dear old Chester had Kidney failure :-(.it will soon be 2 years since I lost him :-( :-( He was 15.
Frank the only white stuff we had this morning was thick ice and frost. It does sound like Ros is on the mend now. That is good news. How about you.No worse I hope.
Gill,I expect Sandra was all excited to see some snow ,what a pity it wasn't enough for a Snowman. There is still plenty of winter left so you never know she might get lucky :-D I'm glad Rosie has re-appeared :-D.She may just look fatter because of the cold weather. They seem to plump themselves up sometimes just like the birds lol.But you are probably right and she has been having lots of meals around the neighbourhood :-D :-D Sharing plants and cuttings is a good idea. When my Sister comes she often goes home with several bits from our garden. As for stripes on the lawn .It must be a man thing. We have to have them too :-D :-D
Yes where is Ann.It's not like her to miss a day or more..Hopefully it might just be pooter trouble and not that she is ill, especially with the racing heart trouble. If we don't hear anything by the morning I will give her a ring.
Hannah and I have been into TKMa*.She wanted some outfit for some new Yoga Class she is going to go to.It's called Hot Yoga and is done in a room of over 30 degs !!!!!.I think she is bl**** mad lol..Then she got a few things for Chris's birthday, which she will leave here as she won't see him again for a while after today. I nipped into Spec Sav** to get my specs tightened up and they have been slipping down my nose and also a new case as the clip on mine had broken and the case wouldn't stay shut. It seemed very quiet everywhere.Maybe no-one has any money left after the sales.
Hannah's train is at 2.50 so I'm just going to do her some scrambled eggs with cheese on toast. She says she is out later to eat so didn't want too much now. Deboned Chicken with sun blush tomato and Parmesan Marinade for the rest of us this evening ,with my Hassleback Potatoes,Broccoli ,Asparagus ,Peas and Baby Carrots.
The sun is so bright `i've had to shut the curtains.

Mandy did I see Stephen Fry married his partner in Dereham? Hannah has just gone.Chris palmed a load of goodies left over from Christmas on her lol...She said she really didn't want loads of biscuits so I said to take them into work. James will have a Dundee Cake to take in to his work too lol.Sooner it is all gone the better as it is less temptation for me and Chris. :-S
Mel it is nice to wake up to a warm house.I keep the heating turned right down in our bedroom ,and both Hannah and James say how cold it is in the morning in there. If it is too warm I would wake with a bunged up nose :-S

Evening All,
Well I'm fine I'm pleased to say and yes it was pooter trouble! We couldn't even get on the internet which I don't think has happened before. Then when it did come back (briefly!) I tried to sort out one of those pensioner bonds, but that site had crashed, then I couldn't get anything again! :-S Last night I tried again and the same thing. I tried to book our hols in Cornwall and that site was down for maintenance so I couldn't do that. Then I lost the internet again!! I'm not on my new laptop yet, but OH was the same so it wasn't my old computer. Anyway It's nice to know I was missed and I'll get this posted in case there are any more problems. The baby is gorgeous Mandy!!

Just got back from daughters, all the curtains are done and she was really pleased with them. Wanted to add my congratulations to Mandy and family on the safe arrival of Lewis Oliver. Your son did well getting organised with school uniforms most dads wouldn't have a clue. I can tell when my daughters partner has dressed the kids :-0
Must get myself organised now, be back tomorrow.

I put my pillow cases back on the line today and they dried ok in the sun and light breeze, brought them in and ironed them straight away and they smelt wonderful. You can't beat cotton thats been boiled and hung out and ironed and smell of fresh air.
My SIL's and I swap cuttings and plants too Gill. Mind you I need loads to fill my long border. I do it with Di my friend too.
Cheese and biccys for us tonight so thats nice and easy.
