Having a nice day on my own !! OH came back just after lunch (they'd been to the pub!) collected Cas and took her with him for the afternoon! Apparently the 'shoot' are having an impromptu training session for the gun dogs!! I've just done macaroni cheese for our supper, not sure OH will want too much but it'll always freeze for another day! No card here either Frank, but perhaps I'm being a bit presumptuous!! ;-) The clocks go forward tonight and its Easter next w/end. Have to ask L on Tuesday whether they'll be here over the holiday - I need to know about Easter Eggs!! The girls are a bit old now but ' little boy' is still young enough, and he's such a dear little soul, I can't refuse him anything!! <3

I just can't understand why, Mel, Jane and Liz haven't received my E CARD. I have everyone in my Contact list, nd most have sent to say they have received it. I did send Mel again this morning. I will now send it to Jane and Liz. You know I wouldn't send to some and not the others. xxxx
Had the whole afternoon so far, reading the paper and my book. I have told Ros to put the Tele on as the Boat Race is on later. I don't know what time. I will have to look.
I had a nice Ham on the bone sarnie at lunchtime, what a difference in the taste. Not sure what we will have tonight, I expect it will be Chinese, as we had Indian last week. Just forgot WE had Chinese on Wednesday evening with J & C. We had Home made F & C last night so that's out also.
Roa just called to say they are going over to the boat race now. So I will sign off.

The boat race has just started Frank I'm watching it and hoping Oxford win.
I've been very good Jane and NOT done any more work so far today. I'm enjoying an afternoon of sport. OH is out buying chocolate and popcorn for the film Everest tonight and Sandra is watching her programme in the other room, so it's nice a quiet.
Sandra said we can't watch films without popcorn.......bless her :-)

Popcorn always gets stuck in my throat Gill.Especially the plain popcorn. I always think it tastes like cardboard. (not that I eat cardboard :-D) We have the BoatRace on now. We are rooting for Cambridge . Liz I still buy Easter Eggs for H&J . I got Hannah a Nougat one from M&S and James still has a Yorkie one . Daft really when I think they are 35 and 32 !!!!!. But I will continue to do it. James has loved the Yorkie ones since he was a toddler .I don't think anyone will be buying me an Egg.Maybe I need to drop a few hints :-D Or buy myself one. Sounds like Cas will be having a fun afternoon with the 'Shoot'. She should be well worn out tonight.
2 minutes to go now for the start of the Women's Race.So I am off.

It looks like Cambridge might win the women's race, so I'm hoping the Oxford men do better then the Oxford women. If they do then we'll have won one race each Jane ;-) ;-) Yes, popcorn gets stuck in my throat sometimes so I prefer the sweet one as it's not as hard as the toffee one that Sandra likes.
Yes, Cas will be tired when she comes home later Liz. What are you doing with your quiet time, anything nice?

Good afternoon all
Didn't look in yesterday as I had a splitting headache most of the day which is most unusual for me so decided not to use the lap top.
What a lovely anniversary present Frank, something to look forward to. I didn't get your e-card either.
Jane that was a lovely painting that Ann did for Fitz he certainly looked made up with it, pleased to hear you all enjoyed the meal in the most part.
We don't usually buy Easter eggs now, being diabetic I wouldn't want one and Abbie doesn't like most chocolate but she will eat Maltesers so I will buy them a big box each for next weekend. Richard will be on holiday then, he goes next Friday.
We had some really sad news yesterday Angie the breeder we had Ruby from had suddenly died, I'm guessing she must have been in her late forties or early 50's apparently it was completely unexpected what a shock for her family.
Good news for John as soon as he has the keyhole surgery to fit the defibulator he can be discharged until then he has to stay in hospital,so it's still looking hopeful that he may be able to go on holiday.
Hope Cas enjoys her afternoon meeting up with all the other dogs Liz.

Your card has arrived Frank, and a reply should be with you!! No I didn't do anything in particular Gill, just got supper ready, and spent the time listening to some music. I'm almost certain that no one will give me an Easter Egg!! OH will probably get some After Eights and a few bits and bobs! I haven't given our two eggs since they left home many years ago!

Congratulations Jane, two wins, you must be chuffed. I think Oxford were only there to make the numbers up LOL :-D :-D Never mind, there's always next year.
That sounds nice and relaxing listening to your music Liz. When you're on your own you can listen to anything you like can't you? I take advantage and listen to my Classical music as no one else likes it, so it's nice to enjoy it on my own sometimes.
Sorry to hear about Angie Anne. What a shock for everyone and such a young age too. Pleased to hear about John, let's hope he can go on his holiday after all.
I'm just taking a look at my family tree and think there maybe a mistake with one of the wife's surname, so I need to go through that part of my tree again to make sure. It could be that she had been married before and I've put her first married name instead of her maiden name. Hopefully it won't take to long to sort out. So there you go Jane, you were right I couldn't sit and do nothing for long LOL ;-)

So the Cambridge Mens team have won too Gill :-D :-D 2 for me LOL I always feel so sorry though for the loosing team . I bet there will be a lot of drunken rowers tonight .Ladies and Men :-D
Anne ,I hope your headache has gone now and it wont come back again. Oh my goodness how shocking is that news about Angie :-( :-(. If it was as sudden as that it must have been something like a Brain Haemorrhage ,Heart Attack or Stroke. No e-card here either yet Frank.. Please dont worry . There must be a reason why it is not coming through. Nice peaceful afternoon for you Liz :-D..... I was trying to find out what music plays in the Knorr Stock adverts .I love it .It is Sing Sing Sing Swing by Benny Goodman.I could bop along to that all day.Classic Swing (apparently) I will get Alexa to play some Classic Swing :-D

Hope your headache is better Yes Gill it's lovely to be able to listen to my music in peace!! OH is fine with it, but tends to want to talk to me about something, usually something I'm not particularly interested in!! Pity you don't live closer, we could listen together!! Maltesers Anne? That sounds like good idea for my two g.daughters!!!

Yes, lots to celebrate for Cambridge, they'll pay the price tomorrow though ;-)
I think you've said in the past that our taste are similar in music Liz, it would be nice to listen to the things I like with other's who like it too. OH doesn't stop me listening to it, but I feel guilty if I listened to it for to long while he was here knowing he doesn't have the same taste as me as far as Classical music is concerned, so I tend not to bother when he's home. We both like heavy metal so sometimes we put that on, but Sandra hates it, so we have the same problem. To be honest I don't listen to music as often as I used to anymore. I asked OH for the new Andrew Lloyd Webber CD, but then saw a CD Sandra would like so he bought that instead at my request so I could put it away for her birthday next month. Then unbeknown to me he went out and bought the one I wanted for me today, so I'll listen to that tomorrow. Sandra likes some of his songs from the musicals and OH doesn't mind either way, he says it's better than Classical. I thought it was sweet of him to buy it for me.
We started the chocolate and popcorn a few hours ago and OH bought some crisps too, so we're all munching away. Everest is coming on now, so I'll say goodnight and see you all tomorrow. Night Night

Morning all
Another sunny day.....I could get used to this :-) :-) Hope I haven't jinxed it now.
Well, what can I say about the film "Everest", talk about slow, we gave up after 40 minutes and watched something else. We're not keen on films that drag on and don't get to the point. I recorded it so we might give it another go later today as it looked good on the adverts. Hopefully if we stick to it, it might end up being a good film.......that's if we don't fall asleep first waiting for something to happen
I've finished the spare bedroom this morning, so all the furniture is back in place and the painting finished. I have a few boxes and spare cushions in there that need putting away, but that shouldn't take to long.
We have decided to empty the kitchen cupboards today, ready to make a start on the kitchen doors and draws tomorrow. The cupboards could do with a good clean to but that'll probably be done once all the work is finished as we think we might need to drill some new holes in the old carcases for the hinges of the doors to line up. OH is going to put a couple of new backboards on two of the cupboards today as they have bent and things keep falling out at the back.....So that's today's jobs to do. Hopefully it'll all be done before the F1 race starts at 2.30pm.
I need to sort out the wall in the back room as Sandra knocked the insulation I put up a while back and there is a couple of dents in it. I'm hoping a bit of filler and a touch up with paint will fix it. That's the problem with the insulation it doesn't take much for it to damage, something we didn't know when we bought it. So Sandra will need to be careful when she goes into the cupboard, that she doesn't knock the wall again. It's only a small area so shouldn't take me to long to sort out.
I was going to have the whole weekend off, but I was so bored yesterday I couldn't sit and do nothing for another day. Yesterday dragged on and felt very long with not doing much. I will have this afternoon off though, as I want to watch the F1.
What is everyone else up to today?

Morning all,
No ecard here either Frank but we do have beautiful sunshine and its mild out. Oh is out doing his thing on the mower decks and I am going to clean the bantams out.
I did get a bit of felting done last night but did I have a job. The felt I am using is wool felt and its so soft. Its nothing like the felt we used to get when I was young. Its a lovely colour too, a soft green. Well I shall carry on with it now I am over the worst and keep it for myself.
I feel guilty when the sun shines that I don't go and do a bit of gardening but everywhere is so blimmin wet out there.
What a terrible thing to happen to Angie and I feel so sorry for the family. She was so young too. Good news that John may be able to take his holiday after all now if he has keyhole surgery. He will need it after what he has been through.
Washing machine is nearly finished so I better get ready to get it on the line while the suns still out.

Good Afternoon to you all,
First and foremost. Could anyone who received my E CARD, please pass it on to Anne and Mel, I have sent Mel's THREE TIMES NOW. Thanks in advance xxx
Nice bright morning here, with a bit of blue sky. So should be a pleasant afternoon.
That is so SAD Anne, Yes what a young age to be taken. I assume it was a heart attack.Poor family , having to take this in. My thoughts are with them all. xx
Pleased that Cas had a nice afternoon. By the way I saw in the paper this morning. A WARNING to keep dogs away from MUDDY WATER. There is a decease going around that is a KILLER. It's called "ALABAMA ROT" so just a word of warning.
No easter eggs for me, I am not a sweetie type of person, I prefer savioury. I do suck a mint now and again. I can't remember when I last had POPCORN. But for those of you that enjoy chocolate. CARRY ON EATING IT. Roa still buys eggs for the children, even though Conrad and Harvey can't eat them. That both have an bad problems with their stomachs, so Ros bought Harvey a bottle of RED WINE and Conrad a shirt. Strange Easter presents.
Well I had better get showered and shaved and ge ready to go PARTYING. I feel like it like a HOLE IN THE HEAD. but means, must. lol lol
See you all later.

It sounds like you're getting there with your garden Liz. I took a proper look at our back garden today and realised there is more work to make it tidy than I first thought, lots of leaves in between the pots, so I'll be doing a bit a day around all the other jobs I have until it's finished.
I'm sure now the days are longer your garden will dry out soon so you can do some work in it Mel. Sorry to hear your felt is giving you trouble, at least you are over the worse now so you can enjoy finishing it. What are you making?
At the moment I'm listening to the Andrew Lloyd Webber CD OH bought me, it's great and he even said he likes some of the songs so I could put the volume up a bit. Love changes everything is on at the moment, I've already listened to Phantom of the Opera, Superstar and Don't cry for me Argentina, it's a brilliant CD, just my cup of tea :-D :-D
I've done the filler in the back room and asked Sandra not to knock it again, it was an accident so I'm sure she'll be more careful with it now. Good news, we had already fixed the back board in the kitchen cupboard but forgot......hardly surprising with all the jobs we get through, so that's a job that doesn't need doing today. I'm just going to clean the cupboard and some of the dishes as they are a bit dusty. They're ones we don't use very often and must of got dusty when we stripped the wallpaper off in the living room, it won't take long then we can have our lunch and watch the F1.
Memory is on the CD now, it's full of all my favourites........I'm a happy bunny today :-D
