I will take that back about it being him for now then...But still every chance it is and John is with someone else as this family sure liked leaving their children all over the place... I started with Mary Helena Mossop born Liverpool 1886 and never found her with parents Samuel and Elizabeth but as a visitor on census before marriage..The other kids were with them.. And more on the Kenyon line leaving the kids all over the place Strange family...But the descendants still are a bit,my goddaughters fathers side all this lot are...

Must go,my peepers are shouting for me to close them... Will check to see what wonders you 2 have come up with in the morning.. I have every faith in you both...;)

Now that echos with me
......we had the Pig Farmer murderer over here a few years ago.
Robert Pickton
Convicted in 2007 of the second degree murder of 6 women, charged with the deaths of about 20 more ......... all prostitutes. All killed between about 1983 and 2002
it is suspected that he fed bits of at least of their bodies to his pigs ............ or took them down to the local rendering factory.

Ther must have been loads of people that went missing that way in the Victorian days. If they lived near the sea drowned no death cert there, I mean what if they fell in the Thames never to be seen again would there be a death cert?
I saw a program this week about someone who was murdering woman and chopping them up not a Canadian though.

I think that's where the "been missing for 7 years, and then declared dead" comes in
In other words, family member could go to court and get someone declared dead if there had been no sign of him for at least 7 years.
gruesome ja...x
we all heard far more than we wanted to know when Pickton was being tried.
He was first tried (and convicted) of the killing of the 6 women for whom they had most evidence ....................... in one case that was one finger bone. In another, only DNA.
They did not have any "large" piece of anyone.

Oohhh Sylvia,
I have just been catching up on last night's posts and they are all about cutting people up and feeding them to pigs, and now you serve me SAUSAGES + BACON !!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's enough to put you off your breakfast !!!!!!! - Yuuck...................
I will just have to try to think about pleasant things while I munch my way through.
No! - It's not working...............Perhaps I will stick to the frittata and grilled tomatoes, just for today !
Thanks Sylvia,
Dea x
EDIT:
Ohhh NOOoooo ! - Roast Pork for lunch !!!
I hope these thoughts have disappeared by lunchtime or I can see I will starve today.

There is no birth for a Daniel and I cannot see him anywhere else - name could have been misheard?

/cont.....
Looked to find John away from family on 1861 and this seems to fit:
1861 England Census about John Mossop Name: John Mossop Age: 11 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1850 Relation: Grandson Gender: Male Where born: Langflugh, Cumberland, England [Lamplugh, Cumberland, England] Civil parish: Harrington County/Island: Cumberland Country: England Registration district: Whitehaven Sub-registration district: Harrington ED, institution, or vessel: 4 Neighbors: View others on page Household schedule number: 16 Piece: 3944 Folio: 47 Page Number: 4 Household Members: Name Age John Williamson 64 Farmer of 150 acres. b. Scotland Jane Williamson 58 Jane Lowes 24 daughter Isaac Lowes 27 son-in-law Bavabra William Lowes 20 (should be Barbara Williamson, daughter) John Mossop 11 Source Citation: Class: RG9; Piece: 3944; Folio: 47; Page: 4; GSU roll: 543211.
...............
Marriage for John + Samuel's parents then would probably be this one:
Marriages Jun 1849 Mossop John Whitehaven 25 153 Williamson Mary Whitehaven 25 153 ......
Obviously it will all need checking,
What do you think Fans?

I have difficulty getting in and out but I am trying to exercise in the pool.
Do you know what happens when someone swims with one hand stronger than the other?
They go in circles.
Look out for whirlpools.
Going to one I can walk in and out of this time as last week I got stuck on the steps.
