Dea, we quite often have plants which pop up where we don't expect them and certainly haven't planted them. Our usual expression is...."how on earth did that get there?" It's quite possible that an 'outside' plant has germinated in your pot in one of the ways mentioned by t'others. Even just blown in maybe. 'Fraid you gonna have to face facts my love.

Gonna watch Have I Got News for You now.......night all.~~~~~

Funny you should say that.....

I have one bluebell and one white bell......what ever that is?

Sprung up this year from?

Thats very lucky -- that will be a wild bluebell ( i suspect) they are all protected now --when I was a kid Mum used to dig them up from the wood

you can only buy cultivated now --- expect a bird poohed it -- or your squirrels dug up a bulb

thats a real wild flower -- envious

I have wild Fresias here in my garden -- very beautiful but with no smell -- the smell must have been bred in - and only in yellow -- I have the cultivated ones too -- hoped they will interbreed

I will save you Acquilegias. the are very promiscuous and grow very well

I've just read on my internet news re wedding guests

about 1,000 ............ members of the Royal family, of the Middleton family, and friends of William and Kate (including 7 of Wills ex-girlfriends and 2 of Kate's ex-boyfriends)

Then:-

members of foreign royal families (about 40 guests)
representatives from Britain's Defence Services (about 30 guests, including members of William's Royal Air Force unit)
officials with William's charities (about 80 guests)
leaders from various churches and faiths
members of government, Parliament and the diplomatic corps (about 200 guests)
60 governors general and prime ministers from the realms
members of the Royal Household

Total ...... about 1,900 guests

The Queen will later host a lunchtime reception at Buckingham Palace for about 650 people. The Prince of Wales will host a dinner at the palace for about 300 people.

so some obviously only get invited to the service!

I read somewhere else that the "representatives from the British Forces" would include some wounded soldiers, representing ALL who have been wounded.

The PM of Canada and his wife were invited, and accepted ......... but have since had to turn the invitation down. We're in the middle of an election, caused by him being found "in contempt of Parliament"! Voting Day is May 2nd.

Barack Obama was not invited, along with certain other Heads of States (eg, from France) ......... this is apparently not counted as a State Wedding, because Wills is only second in line ot the Throne.

Now, aren't you glad that I've told you all that??!!!!

Well, you will all be pleased to know that I am going to admit defeat on the 'Lemon Tree' !!

It just HAS to be a 'fothergilla' !!!!!

I don't know how I am going to break the news to little grand-daughter as she is SO proud of her 'Lemon Tree' ! ......... I think I will wait until she is older and just let her enjoy her success for now.

It does look like it is going to be a lovely plant though, I just hope it doesn't grow too big.

Please thank your sister for identifying it Renes and don't worry, it has already been repotted into a BIG tub !
