Morning everyone,

Hope you are all well.

Sylvia I have never heard of that setting but it wouldn't suprise me.

One of my friends paid a fortune and brought this beautiful one that cleans itself after you use it, so you never get a build up of anything. I HATE cleaning the oven! That is the household chore I dislike the most!

I love to cook (and to eat) though, now my little girl tries to help which means everything goes everywhere and it takes twice as long but it is good fun.

Grace

the last stove I had was bought in 1972, it had a continuous clean oven. It was supposed to clean itself as things cooked in it. I chose that in preference to a self-clean oven, which has a special extremely hot cycle to burn off all spills

I found continuous clean didn't work too well ............. the racks always looked as if they had stuff burnt on them, and the glass was the same.

BUT the self cleaning coating meant that you couldn't use oven cleaners.

We had that oven until about 3 years ago ........ so it didn't owe us any money!

This new one has a self-clean oven ......... but I haven't yet tried using the cycle

Yes, I have had little spills on the bottom, but they are burning off, and I can just wipe the ashes up.

it also shows how little we really use the oven!

When you use the self-clean cycle, do not leave the racks in the oven. I did, and now they have no shine on them and don't slide in and out easily. It probably said that somewhere in the manual.

I'm having increasing trouble typing. Feral kitten number two, Patsy, has lost most of her fear of everything and now that I have moved my office back into the house thinks she should spend the day on my lap. Not enough just to sit there interfering with my posture and making it virtually impossible to type, no, she has to chew my fingers if I stop petting her.

She's still the most beautiful cat in the world, though. Long, long, thick dilute tortoiseshell coat with a huge ruff, and big feet -- the front legs are one black and one orange; I finally figured out that what she reminded me of was Jane Avril. ;)

My cat has become a right pain lately

Because I use a rollator around the house (zimmer frame with wheels and a seat) she has decided thats where she is going to sleep.

Because I need to use it to go for a ciggie ect she has been giving me evil looks when I start rolling it.

I thought this would stop her...I would lift the seat up...No it has a nice cat size basket under it so she is nicely curled up in there now lol

Wonder what she would do if I put the lid down :D

cats always find the most comfortable place to sleep ...... for them if for no-one else in the house!

uGHHH I have just realised I have had a branch of my tree down incorrectly and had incorrect spouses and thus children..

I hate having to delete everything and start all over again on that line! These Gwennaps will be the death of me I am sure, through eye strain if nothing else!

If only each family and every genration could have thought of different names to use when born rather than sharing the same 5 or so names!

I think I have worked it out now, or at least up to a point! :S :S :S :S

I think my brains are completely fried now,,,, :O
