Oops, missed your Q, C. Mum is doing very well except she's peeved that a fracture clinic appointment will be a week later than it should because my sister didn't get around to making it. So I got an email that read, in my Gmail list: "fracture clinic - not good news". I clicked in trepidation, assuming she'd been and got bad news. The bad news was a delayed appointment. Grr.

She can move around with a walker if she wants as long as she only puts 50% weight on the leg. But apparently she astounded the visiting physio with her flexibility and agility -- with having to keep the leg stiff and straight in a brace for 6 weeks, that's the concern. The physio had her lying on her back, and said Lift your leg. My mum promptly lifted it to the vertical position. No problems there!

She's one feisty lady your mum Janey....no doubt about it. I can imagine how you felt when you saw that message. Did you manage to get your heart back into place after it dropped ;-) Please continue to send my good wishes and apologies for lack of jokes.....must speak to my joke supplier about that!!

Ah well.......time for bed after my 'smashing' day. Wonder what I can break in between now and hitting the proverbial sack :D

Night all. Will be thinking of Trace and all our friends with their various trials.

Oh and ta C -- my mum has been back in touch with an old childhood friend of her younger brother ... now a clergywoman with the United Church of Canada, my old church, in her early 70s and .......... a lefty lesbian. She and I have also exchanged chat about the election and such. ;)

She was a bit worried about being an agnostic when it comes to things like the resurrection. I said that was perfectly cool -- all honest people are agnostics. Believer or non-believer, none of us *knows*.
