My chrome has been fine Gins. I have a nice bathroom...may get daughter to take pic for you at the weekend if I remember.

For kitchen grease you can use good old soda crystals or a branded product.....Flash etc. The trick really is to keep on top of it....makes it much easier....honest.

Something I learned once and have heard it verified is, if you have a wall to clean, start at the bottom and work up! If you start at the top - which seems natural - the dirt and grease you are removing runs down in streaks and can be hard to shift.

I bought a super mop thing from Lakeland and I can wipe over the whole of either my kitchen or bathroom from floor to ceiling in a very short space of time....no climbing. Have only done them once recently though!

NEXT.

OOOOhhhh Sylvia,

I am always getting OOOOO's when I don't notice !!

Fan's knows me by now - I have sent her one I caught in the past and if she gets cross with me, she knows I will stand on a chair and 'wallop' her !!! - I have no fear !! (even if I am a little tiny person !!)

Start at the bottom...are you sure Cyn. If you did that, the top would run down onto your bottom?

Dea

Dea Report 18 May 2011 20:49

Ginns - It sounds mad but 'trust Cynths', she knows what she is talking about when it comes to cleaning !!!

That XXXX b.1916 one I was working on last night Gins why she posted on LR I dont know? looking at it you would think it was Irish but it is'nt had she said where these children were born or some names I would have helped but not by pm.

There was one yesterday I picked up because she had been pm'ing me for a couple of weeks but did not give me the full story now I have found out she has the wrong birth mother...how many others have told her I wonder?

I ahven't cleaned my shower walls in 4 years, when we had new tiling done

and, no, that isn't as bad as it sounds

I bought a little windshield wiper type thing, and I dry the walls down with that after every shower

It works wonders, and is so easy to use.

My whole bathroom is tiled Sylvs, that's why I use a mop. I only spray the area over the bath with the bleach solution as that gets the wettest.

Gins....it's a debatable point about wallwashing etc as there are several schools of thought on it. It was just that I read it somewhere - I have used both methods.

And no.....my top has dropped onto my bottom ........ yet!

Dea

Dea Report 18 May 2011 21:22

Do you mean that your top has "NOT" dropped onto your bottom ???

Lucky you !!!

SylviaInCanada Report 18 May 2011 21:28

C

the advantage with the windshield wiper is that I don't have to do a seaprate shower clean

turn off the water, open the door or the curtain, and wipe the walls down immediately.

No effort, no sweat ........ and no sign of mould.

Sounds good Sylvia - I will buy one for my husband tomorrow !!!

He has the shower 'cubicle' in the bedroom - I have the one over the bath which I can no longer use so it doesn't get dirty

I buy mine at the Dollar Store ............... your equivalent of the Pound Store?

They're usually in the "bathroom" section, along with shower caddies, shower curtains etc.

Try to get the longest one that you can

Gee

Cyn

If you wash windows...would you start at the bottom and work up? Nah.....
