What a rip off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just 'strayed' onto the order certs page on Ancestry - for a death cert they were asking for £22.99 (16 days delivery) , or Express delivery (6 days) - approx the time GRO are taking nowadays for £9.25.... Ancestry price - £39. 99 !!!!!!!!#

I say again - WHAT A RIP OFF !!!!!!!!!!

I used to have a polti steam cleaner that was good on greasy tiles when I had a pub kitchen.

I have a steam mop that was good but it has stopped working which seems quite normal after a year so I bought my parents one from currys and took out the 3 year guarantee so if it breaks they give you a new one

How many people dont know about ordering from the GRO direct?

It's a complete rip off.....and rude in my eyes. OK add a couple of quid for processing the order but.....

jax Report 18 May 2011 18:56

The first cert I bought was from ancestry as I did'nt know any better and that was about £20

Yeh Ginns, I always knew there were a lot of 'rip-off' sites but I didn't realise that Ancestry was quite so bad !!!

Ha...thought of you today when cleaning my tiles Gins.... :D

I don't measure, I just use an old spray bottle and put about half bleach half water in it. I spray it along the grouting - up and down, letting it dribble downwards. It's left for about an hour... and rinsed off with the shower spray. SO easy when done regularly. It doesn't hurt the chrome and I also spray the shower head.

NEXT.

:D

Next /.................

Can I use it on my kitchen floor tiles as well, and my kitchen tiles above the worktops ??

Does bleach 'do' grease, or do I need to add washing-up liquid as well ??

Thanks Cynths.

Thanks C.....Im still worried about the chrome though

I read up that you can mix bleach with bicarb to a paste....spread on, leave over night and rinse orf

Dea that mixture might be best for grease....I dont think bleach removes grease? What about adding lemon juice?

OOerrr !!

Some of my chrome in the bathrooms and shower room has been 'gold plated !! (posh, or what ???). Mind you, a lot of it has been worn off years ago !! :D

I don't mind if I lose the rest !!!

My kitchen is the real problem though!!

Dea

you can order certificates through GR, one of the Aussies was saying the other day that she had bought a couple.

I think she said that she had paid $Aus18.50 for 2 ............ but I don't know what that would be in pounds.

OOhh - I have just heard that the Queen is attending a banquet at Dublin Castle !!! - I hope she knows that I am just a little 'pekkish' now and I would appreciate a 'banquet' more than she probably would !!!!!!!!!!!

I think I had better go and cook me something nice !

See you in a bit !
