Hi Sylvia,

That's great, I bet it doesn't feel that long!

It must just have taken your friends a bit of time to find each other :-)

LOL gives me some hope for the future!

Morning friends. Yawwwwwn ......scuse me. Another early start today.

Any pancakes left Dea? Yep. delish. Thanks Sylvs.

Hi Grace, I know loads of people who have been married that length of time and longer.....

............. my maternal grandparents were married for 64 years and still in their own little house in Kent. He was the soldier I had as my avatar earlier. Apparentlly, right to the end, he used to knock on the bedroom door before he went into the room. A bit different nowadays!

Sadly, my grandmmother died just 6 weeks before I got married so my grandfather had to up sticks and go to live with my parents who were in Nuneaton at the time. Looking back, I wonder how my parents coped with all that especiallly with my mum having the MS etc.

On the morning of my wedding, I remember him coming into the room looking all upset. My aunt told me he had had a slight fall when, in fact, I found out later that he was upset because his beloved wife wasn't here to see their only granddaughter get married. sigh........

On that happy note.......:)

It looks pretty grey and miserable outside.....yuk.......

Seeya later....~~~~~~

Chicken.....That was my eldest grandsons first word......His parents had lots of them as did I and he loved em,still does...They now have only 3 chickens though, one for each child,3 cats and 3 guinea pigs....We have the old dog and the 2 younger dogs are rehomes ready for their move to NZ,dont know where the cats and guinea pigs are going but I would guess the chickens are going in with greatgrandads,he likes chickens too..
Spent last summer building them a fantastic new house and run.......Very posh it is.....He has about 30 I think....

Then he has rabbits down by his pond(with a high fence to keep foxes and greatgrandkids out) to keep the grass down as he got fed up with mowing it....5 rabbits, all girls that were "donations"they have a posh house too...Maybe the guinea pigs will get rehomed there...

Dea Report 18 May 2011 13:58

Oh what a busy life you lead Cynthia !

Don't think I will ever get back to a size 12 Cynthia - I am now up to a size 6 -8 now (or a 12 years old .....tee hee!). :D

It would be very nice if I could manage an 8 - 10 as it is SO difficult to find suitable clothes to fit !

Cyns

Your bleach and water spray for the grouting in the shower......how many parts water to bleach and will it ruin the chrome fittings?

Oh and do you rinse it off or leave it?

Got the afternoon orf so decided to spend it in the shower with bleach in one hand and a scrubber in the other (no not Fanny)

I hate dirty grout, the whole bathroom looks scruffy if it's not clean :-(

Dea

Dea Report 18 May 2011 15:31

Dea

Dea Report 18 May 2011 18:39

Yeh, Ginns - It is the floor tiles in my kitchen which are a problem -I need to lift the grease out first from the ones just in front of the hob.

I think I need one of those steam cleaner things??
