Had a good meeting re autism services and feel it may be fruitful....in the long run of course :-( My words to the professionals are always.....it's one thing to work with the condition, it's another to live with it!


Could be going to B & Q this afternoon. I can hardly wait.....

I am indeed from down South...........born in Bow (Yes a true Cockney in your midst's) .......................However ten years ago I moved up North to York and waved goodbye to Ole London Town.

I love the North, Clean Air, lovely Neighbours that we actually know on 1st named terms...........life couldn't be better.

I was born Walthamstow and lived most of my life in Essex with a bit of Cambridgeshire and W.sussex thrown in.

Me muvver was born in Bow and her muvver(me nan)was born in Silvertown....Me grandad was a frequent visitor to Walthamstow dog track.. ;-)

Never really lived there just visited...but yes Manzies with eel stall outside...never liked pie and mash but remember going there

My grandfather had a fruit and veg stall in the market in the 50s so I have been told

Manzies...Thats the name...I remember it now.....they had one on the Holloway road at one time as well...Love pie and mash with liquor..But not the jellied eels....Eeels unjellied are good,but that jelly...yuk..

Wow...Heres a good service for you...Ring Holywell reg office re a JONES birth cert c1841 at 11.45am.....Phone just went to say...We have found it...Wanna pay over the phone and we will pop it in post today.....

Now why cant they all be like that...???

However the best one was on Bethnal Green Rd..........it was called Kelly's (as a lot of them were in the 60's / 70's. Its still there but under a different name now..............when I visit I make sure I visit them all (oh yes I love it that much)

Walthamstow, Chapel Market, Bethnal Green & Romford !!!!

Ooooh ........... runs to book train ticket!!!

I grew up in Romford, every saturday would go to the market with friends not been there in years but I doubt if it is still the same. Had a friend who lived in Bow Lefevere walk you could see the flats from the train when travelling to work

Now live in Southend area

I know FBG over £100 for a return.............I want a meal & Coffee served for that with the Guard complimenting me for the whole of the journey. I now book in advance...............I get a return for around £40/£50 .... thats seems cheap for my pie n mash & Liquor ...mmmmm!
