Yum I actually just toasted some fruit muffins.

It's gone very cold here and the office is all stuffy, and I am feeling a bit tired, headachey and whingey! LOL I need a good shake I think!

I need to make an exciting discovery or something in my tree and nothing is happening!

On the other hand I've been reading a really good book based upon people who lived through the bombings of London. It is amazing how resilant people were during that time. :-) :-)

I often see this thread sitting there and thought well you won't catch me asking questions about anyone not even once let alone twice. I have my own devices.... and today perchance whilst wandering around aimlessly I looked at how many replies and thought better open this thread and see why.... golly gosh and it doesn't even start with the original. It really is a funny thread with all sorts of goings on.

I won't name you all but often see Ginny, Jax and of course Sylvia when I see some thread relating to NZ and want to help and so this is where you all hang out in your free time.

Cheers - Where everybody knows your name...

Persie :-)

Hi Grace, - what you need is a bit of sunshine in your life - that makes us all feel a lot better.

Have a read of your book and just ponder on how much easier life is for most of us by comparison...............

Hi Persie - nice to see you, DO join us for some of Sylvia's lovely breakfast, she always puts on a good spread (Thank you Sylvia <3)

I am piling my plate high as we speak.........yuuuumm !!!

I will go for what is in the warmer thanks -it is 7.15pm at night here.

Bacon, hash browns and eggs would be nice followed by a Danish.

If I have crumpets I have vegemite on them, but that is okay there is some in the cupboard. Someone in the family has golden syrup on them.
I am glad to see she has Orange Marmalade - I am not allowed Grapefruit so that's a bonus.....

Have you noticed that she has set the table so beautifully and I can smell the aroma of a good coffee - which reminds me my takeaway flat white coffee today kinda tipped in the coffee holder, I did have a napkin around it which went rather soggy... there was hardly any gone from the cup but it does take hardly any to make a mess as well :S

Ey up Persie

Welcome to the nut house :D

Leave some breakfast for Dea...shes a greedy little pig ;-)

Persephone

Persephone Report 24 May 2011 08:40

Dea was in the smorgasbord queue before me - I was amazed at what she could eat and that's just for breakfast. Hope she won't want seconds?

Gidday Ginny you dress well for Breakfast.... nothing like a bit of style and something by order of the garter is probably very upper class.

Persie ;-)

OOhhh - Ginns - I am NOT greedy, I just need 'fattening-up''
:P

Hi Persie, welcome aboard! They're all mad I hope you realise!

If you are seeing this last bit of the thread, you've probably got your threads in reverse order. I tend to have mine so that I see the original message first.

Just nipped in to see you all - in between telling people where to go!

Welcome Persephone. :D
We are all a little bit mad on here but some are madder than others.

I am a Londoner. My Mum was evacuated for a while with her 2 sisters.
It was only recently she opened up and told me some awful things they endured. If she wet the bed as a toddler she had to sleep in the loft with the spiders which she hated. :O :O
Her sister would rescue her. Letters home were confiscated and they have scars on their bodies. I have a photograph of the street party .
I will put it onto face book.
PM me Grace and Persephone if you would like to see it.
It is on Frances street in Woolwich.
MC and Renes have also had connections with that street in a different time.

Cyns

I think Persie meant that this is the second thread after the first got whooshed?

Persephone

Persephone Report 24 May 2011 10:50

Ginny is correct Cynthia I was meaning 2nd thread...and mine starts on the oldest with each thread but when I initially come on I get the Aussie Threads most recent post... that is my home base but I stray big time.

Ginny wearing that getup I am surprised that you have not had visits from Tom, Dick & Harry & Uncle Tom Cobley and all.... course I fell into orchestra pit once and intermingled with the Coldstream Guards on a Christmas Panto Thread a couple of years or so back. (but nothing happened honest)

I have the radio on, and the host is interviewing Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys

Remember them?

it's so sad ........... he had major drug problems, and I think he's also had some sort of stroke

but some things seem very clear, others not so clear ............. and he also has a thick way of talking.
