btw, I do pay attention to the other stuff here, and don't generally say anything unless I think I might be useful, but do always hold a thought for all of us having difficult times.

Glad you are making progress LK

I thought I was going to get some physio the other day but just got a stool and a toilet frame (not delivered yet) I did get some exercises on a sheet in the post this morning....do they think I will bother? well I suppose I will have to have a go but it would have been better if I had been given this two and a half years ago :-(

So that explains that,thank you.

and I'm a happy camper all round these days.
You Sweetpea??Ooops, falls of chair laughing.. :-D

I too note the good and bad times that people on here are having JC,but I leave the Tea and Sympathy to the likes of Dea and Cyn who do it sooooooo much better than me...

Dea

Dea Report 3 Jun 2011 15:46

But we all DO know that you care Fans (and JC).

It's the thought of JC exhaling which worries me! She might fall over ;-)

Mind you, Fans being a 'happy camper' is a little unsettling. She could be planning something :-S

Glad you had a nice day day despite the niggles Dea.

LK - sounds like you are doing really well. Back to normal (whatever that may be) soon then?

Ja...x if you need anything else from them - nag. I know what hard work it can be sometimes and those who provide these aids for you don't necessarily understand what you really need. I always say that 'working' with someone who has an illness is different to 'living' with the person. Go for it girl :-D

I sent a message to GR too and have had a very pleasant response from Estelle for which I have thanked her. She seems to realise the value of this thread. Yipee.

Meant to say.....LK......the person you have contact with doesn't know anything about the Corke's do they??? One but lives in hope... ;-)

Dea

Dea Report 3 Jun 2011 17:17

Fans,

How are you doing nowadays - Is you 'proper better' now ???

Gee Report 3 Jun 2011 17:19

So the phantom thread reporter has come 'undone' ;-)

Im so glad GR are looking into things before deleting willy nilly.....well done GR :-D

Pleased to see common sense has prevailed, hope normality (or as normal as we get!) has returned.

Regarding the "tea and sympathy" - I don't get on here as often and I'm always worried that I'll ask after someone but overlook somebody else if I haven't read all the posts.

So, I really do hope that everyone's OK.

MC...this lot waffle so much, its easy to miss the important stuff ;-)

I think we can take it as 'red' that we all care

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 3 Jun 2011 18:16

'red'? - you mean 'read' Gins, you muppet....sigh...such hard work at times is our Gins.

Anyway, we don't waffle; we debate, discuss, learn, listen, calm, soothe, encourage, share, care and laugh with anyone who comes on here.

Waffle indeed!

As if!

Humph.

Dea Report 3 Jun 2011 19:30

Gosh it has been HOT here !!!

I have had to put the air conditioner on in the bedroom - will have to get the other one out of the garage tomorrow for the downstairs rooms.

Christmas left-over chocolates have started to melt and I have had to put them in the fridge

- It must be Summer at last !

JaneyCanuck Report 3 Jun 2011 19:38

I see Dea is placing her breakfast orders ...

I'd do waffles for Sunday brunch ... but the waffle iron I bought at a charity shop a couple of decades ago promptly got the waffle juice stuck to itself -- I think permanently welded would be a better description -- so unless somebody wants to come clean it out for me and figure out how to avoid that next time ...

Dea

Dea Report 3 Jun 2011 19:43

Don't worry Janey, they are not really my favourite things it is just that Ginny was 'waving them about' so I had to grab a couple :-D

You can do me one of your 'Janey Specials' for Sunday Brunch if you like - I am sure I would enjoy that much more.

Errr...Cyns is the queen of clean ask her

And heres one for Cyn....the advice about the watered down bleach to spray the shower, is working

The bad bits are on the way out and its looking amazing....thanks you clever girl

Dea

Dea Report 3 Jun 2011 19:52

Was it watered down 'half and half' Ginns and how have you been using it?

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 3 Jun 2011 20:06

Glad about that Gins....see....it pays to listen to your elders occasionally :-P

Try heating the waffle thingey up Janey then turn it off and wipe whilst it's still warm. You may have to change the water a couple of times if it's badly yukked up.

I love waffles so don't take too long please ;-)

Dea......I use an emptied trigger action spray bottle to clean my shower wotsits.

It IS warm isn't it? Am finally going to change from flannelette sheets to crisp clean white ones tomorrow.....and yes, before you ask, I iron them.
