You should have done a before and after photo of the shower.

Keep it off your plastic and chrome.....

Whirlpool wonderful when your in it but yeah you have to watch the bubble bath.

Put sanitiser tablet in every time you get out. Bubble it for 5-10mins empty. Once every couple of weeks thorough cleaning of pipes. Fill bath to over jets. Put in degreaser, switch on for 20 mins, empty bath and refill switch on for 20 mins. Empty the clean surfaces. If they told me when I bought it that it takes the best part of an hour to clean it I would have told them to keep it. Its a roll top too so really big.

Good grief Toots, that sounds a job an alf....

So, glass half full....you must enjoy it when you are in!

Dea

Dea Report 4 Jun 2011 18:16

Actually, I don't know if Toots would agree but I have 'experienced' several types of them and find them all quite uncomfortable! - That's probably just me though :-D

It's great when your in it and initially I didn't mind the cleaning regime but nowadays it is a chore. I am thinking of changing it because it's a bind.

jax Report 4 Jun 2011 18:22

So do you have to fill up with clean water after you have had a bath Toots to clean it?

Bit expensive if you have a meter

Gee

Gee Report 4 Jun 2011 18:33

Forgot about water meters....we dont have one thank gowed but I do pay nearly £60 a month for water rates

TootyFruity Report 4 Jun 2011 18:54

When you have a bath you put a steriliser tablet in your bathwater leave a few minutes to dissolve the switch it on run for 5-10mins then let water out and clean out like any other bath. We are not on a meter thank goodness. I pay a lot less than my mother over a year for water. We also have rates rather than community charge which had a substantial jump this year but still less than an equivalent property in England. I couldn't afford to live over there.

jax Report 4 Jun 2011 19:31

You got a swimming pool then Gins :-D

I was asked that once when we had the pub...yeah the bills were expensive then but a lot of it was to do with the fact there was a leak from the mains which eventually flooded our lounge. It was'nt funny but I remember my daughter being asked as a 6 year old to go and get her shoes and her saying "I cant its all wet"
There was a step down to the lounge and it was swimming in about 6" of water

I use loads of water now I think about it. I have a bath 2 or 3 times a week, and a shower on other days. The washing machine and the dishwasher go on daily. Other members of the household each have their own bathroom and shower daily or bathe as the mood takes them.

TootyFruity Report 4 Jun 2011 19:42

Dea when I chose my bath I didn't want jets on the floor of the bath just around the sides and in the back cos I found the ones with jets of the bottom uncomfortable

Gee

Gee Report 4 Jun 2011 19:52

Nope Ja..x I live in the average house, but the area I live in is very expensive.

If my house was in London, it would be worth a lot more!

Cynthia !!

I am going to have to be very careful here - my husband came home and I showed him his shower room................. he was astounded - (His words) - "It has gone from a Health Hazard to a Shower Room" - He thinks you are truly wonderful !!!

I am going to have to watch out !

It's O.K. though, he doesn't know how to find this site and I won't tell him who or where you are :-D :-D

Many thanks Cynths,

Dea Xxx

P.S.

He has already brought a windscreen wiper thingy in from the garage and will be using that daily in the future, as instructed.
